DG41WV + Nvidia HD Audio

$

Card: Geforce 210

Motherboard: Intel DG41WV

CPU: Intel E8400

OS: Win 8 Pro

TV: HDMI output to Samsung TV

The end user said they disabled the HD audio in the playback devices, since then nvidia HD audio is MIA

When the TV is connected it shows up in the nvidia control panel under the Set up digital audio, but no audio goes through.

Tried clean driver install, when running the geforce custom driver installation it doesn't even give the HD Audio option.

Computer does not detect the HD audio component of the card.

Tried with different nvidia cards(anoter 210 and a 630), same issue.

Did a fresh win7 install on diff HDD same issue.

Replaced Motherboard(same model), same issue.

Replaced RAM, same issue.

Replaced PSU, same issue.

Replaced CPU, same issue.

Tested card on different PC works fine.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

USB Boot DQ67SW Motherboad

I want to know what is required to boot from a USB thumbdrive on the DQ67SW board? I'm pretty sure I've done this before, but it will not work now. The thumb drive is in fact bootable as I've booted it from other PC's just fine. I tried using every USB port but is does not make a difference. I also tried disconnecting all SATA drives to force it to boot from USB, but then I get the error message stating "no bootable device found". Seems that it does not want to boot from USB.

In the BIOS I have USB boot enabled, boot from removable devices enabled and UEFI boot disabled.

Are there some specific, different requirement for the USB boot device?

Thanks.

HyperX Fury 8gb Hx318c10fb/8 running on Intel DP67BG up to 32gb

Hi everyone

I want to update my system up to 32gb RAM (4x8gb), my motherboard is an Intel DP67BG, theoreticatly it supports:

• Four 240-pin Double Data Rate 3 (DDR3) SDRAM Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) sockets with gold-plated contacts arranged in two channels

• 2133 MHz to 1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM Memory Modules
• Support for single- and dual-channel memory interleaving
• Unbuffered, non-registered single- or double-sided DIMMs with a voltage rating of 1.65 V or less.
• Non-ECC DDR3 memory
• Serial Presence Detect (SPD) memory only
• Up to 32 GB maximum total system memory using 8 GB DIMMs

I was told that the Kingston HyperX Fury 8gb DDR3 1866Mhz 240-pin (model no. Hx318c10fb/8) is compatible with the DP67BG, but i can't check it anywhere.

Can you tell me if these are compatible and work well with 32gb RAM (4x8gb)? I want to check that the HyperX model I mentioned is Non-ECC and is in fact a SPD memory.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

the process igfxsrvc.exe is apparently part of the Intel Common User Interface and in use/started when I perform a right click on the desktop which causes an annoying delay of about 2 seconds while opening the context menu.

What is that process for?

Can I disable it or is there another way to avoid the delay?

Chipsatz mit 30 min Timer?

$

Hallo,

Intel D945GTP 3.5mm Drivers for Windows 7

A while ago I upgraded my desktop PC to Windows 7 from XP, and I couldn't seem to find any audio drivers that worked with my hardware and OS. It's been about 2 years since I upgraded and I've been using HDMI audio for the time being, but HDMI audio doesn't allow any input such as microphones. Do these drivers even exist? It'd be nice if they did otherwise is there a way I can jury-rig and older winXP 3.5mm driver to work on win7? Everything else about this board is working perfectly and has been for many years.

DQ45CB Possibility to upgrade Option ROM?

$

Hi,

I have a DQ45CB Mainboard. To get better Windows 10 Support (I know it has no official Windows 10 support, but it does work)

I want to upgrade the Option ROMs inside. (And get support for HDD >2TB)

In BIOS 0133 are inside:

RAID Option ROM 8.6.0.1007 and 8.5.2.1002

Intel Boot Agent GE 1.3.65

vBIOS 1940

Management Engine BIOS 5.2.40.1037

For the Components exists newer versions (found in other Forum)

RAID Option ROM 11.2.0.1527

Intel Boot Agent GE 1.3.72

vBIOS 2085

Management Engine BIOS 5.2.71.1048

Is there a Possibility to upgrade all the ROMs or a fiew myself? (Especially the RAID Option ROM)

The BIOS support UEFI boot. Does the Board support secure boot too??

Thank you for help!

Update for Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 keeps failing with error code 80070103

Windows Update (on Windows 8.1) is trying to install an update for Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 and it keeps failing with error code 80070103. I have tried to contact with Microsoft, they advised to download that driver from Intel, I’ve done it. But it’s failing with the same error code 80070103. I would be grateful, if someone could help? Microsoft said that the error related to Intel product.

Intel D5400XS Skulltrail with recent graphics cards?

$

Hello together,

I am fiddling around with some quite old Intel Desktop-Board, the D5400XS "Skulltrail".
I love this board so much, since it was my "dream" as a child, but i could never afford it. So i bought one some months ago and started a case- and system-modding project like "Anno 2008: Skulltrail in 2016?"

This project is nearly finished, but i ran into trouble with two major points:

- The board won't let me upgrade to Windows 10, because it says my CPUs (2x Intel X5470) are not supporting "CompareExchange128", which has something to do with the 64bit-support (?). Indeed, the CPUs are supporting this operation, on the one hand because Intel is listing those as compatible in the specification sheet and these CPUs are running Windows 10 quite well in another mainboard. This seems to be some BIOS-related issue?

- I want to combine this system with a recent graphics card, the Powercolor Radeon R9 390 PCS+ 8GB (tested in another PC and running well). When the graphics card is installed, all is running fine but the system does not recognize any system drive anymore?! There are two SSDs in my system and they are not deteced anymore after this graphics card is installed. Because of this, booting is not possible anymore. With the previously installed card, a Sapphire Radeon R9 270X, everything is running fine including SSD detection. How can that be possible? Those two cards are similiar on chip-level so why does the one card run and the other one does not?

Can those two problems be adressed with a BIOS-Update? Is anyone able to do this for me? The latest BIOS-version is already installed so there is no possibility for me to continue without having someone being able to program an update here...
I would love to get this machine running...

Thank you so much in advance for your thoughts and your help!

I have windows vista on my desktop and want to update this to Windows 7, but the  Intel(R) AMT-SOL and the Intel (R) Management Engine Interface are not compatible in windows 7.

Can i download the Windows 7 versions of these drivers, can i update them?

Or are these drivers not really needed?

One of the raid 1 disk is failed how should i proceed

I am using asus P8Z77-V motherboard and i have setup the raid in the begining from computer start up CTRL-I

Now i have ordered another identical driver and copied all files in the left raid drive to new drive

However i still not added the new drive to the raid build

Here the tricky part. I suspect the other drive can also have problem. Thus, i want to verify it

In order to do so, i have to delete the raid volume or not?

If i delete the raid volume from CTRL-I in the start up, how can i setup the raid 1 again without data loss again?

So how should proceed? Just add the new drive to the current raid configuration from Intel Matrix Storage manager or delete the volume from boot CTRL-I , check the disk and recompose raid 1?

thank you

Windows 8.1

Intel Raid Storage Manager 14.8.0.1042

By the way the broken disk was SeaGate ST3000DM001 - it wasn't even 2 years old

I am in the midst of swapping hard drives. I have the hard drive in and connected and am loading windows 7.  When Turned on with the O/s Disc in, a message box pops up stating there is no hard drive click ok to load drivers.  With no Disc in I get a media test failure message up.  I have tried to use the intel install disc and that does not load.  I have tried several SATA Cables (all are known to be working).  What am I failing to do or doing wrong?

DH77DF BSOD: driver power state failure, 0x9F; USB & ethernet ports turning off

$

Hi all --

My first post on this forum so hopefully I give enough info to help solve my problem.

I just upgraded my HTPC and so built my first Windows 7 PC (never had a need to upgrade from XP, believe it or not). So far I am quite impressed but I am having a number of issues with power management. I'd love some help tying all these together so I'll start at the beginning.

I've had the machine running for two weeks now. It's an Intel DH77DF mobo, all the newest drivers on it, fresh from Intel's site. At first I noticed the keyboard would become unresponsive after a while -- not even the lights for caps/num lock would turn on (MS Wired Keyboard 600). So I figured it was shutting off the USB ports and so I went into Device Manager and hit the properties for all USB ports and unchecked allowing Windows to shut them off to save power. I then went to power management and turned it on to maximum performance.

Next morning, I wake up and go to hit the PC to put on some music and the keyboard is unresponsive again. (Aside: I have two keyboards connected, the MS one mentioned earlier and a Logitech diNovo Mini for HTPC stuff. There's also an old MS wired mouse attached (which has never lost power, oddly enough).) I restart to bring the keyboard back around -- because unplugging it and putting it in any USB port won't bring it back -- and when I restart, it takes FOREVER. I'm talking 15-20 minutes (when boot after POST takes like 30 seconds). The restart eventually craps out to a BSOD: power driver state failure, error code 0x9F.

So I researched that error and most of the advice seems to come to "run sfc \scannow" (done, more than once, no issues) and "update your drivers" (already done). I looked in the event viewer for evidence of that crash but don't think I found anything.

I found a page on a registry entry you can make for disabling selective suspend in USB completely, and I've done that, and it says it's disabled under the advanced settings in power management, but, I dunno...my peripherals still die.

I updated my BIOS last night, as I saw the new version said something about USB ports...nope, they still were dead when I woke up this morning.

Checking everything, I don't think it's a power/clock issue, as I ran prime95 and OTPC last night to stress test it and watched the voltage and temps through Intel Desktop Utilities and nothing was out of the ordinary (though this machine does run warmer than I am used, but the temp " gauges" are all green according to Intel).

As a final clue, I noticed something during yesterday morning's restart. I had my work laptop on and it's a Mac, and Finder always shows the devices on the network. During the long shutdown that goes to bluescreen, the HTPC is not on the network before restart, comes on to to the network several minutes into the long shutdown, hangs out on the network for a few minutes, disappears, and then BSOD about a minute after that. It's not just USB shutting down, I guess (if I had a SATA device I'd test that too).

OK, sorry about the long post and all the parentheticals, just wanted to make sure I gave as much pertinent info as possible. I'd be very grateful if someone had any clues. If this is in the wrong forum and should be under the BSOD forum, let me know and I will close this and repost.

Thanks very much for reading --

Micah
