Chassis Intrusion; Asks for Password; Cannot Reset Bios - DH77KC Motherboard

Hi! My name is Alex and this is my first time posting here, but has been around for a long time looking for solutions. And regarding my problem, I know there is a lot of threads about it, I've read almost all of them, but none of them worked for me. I already tried contacting Intel, but their solutions are the same with what I tried.

Anyway, back on topic.

Last weekend, I decided to clean my CPU for first time in a year, and opened the front and back case. When I turned on my PC, a warning showed up saying "The following warnings are detected during this boot. These can be viewed in the Setup in the event log. WARNING: Chassis Intrusion". The warning shows up just after Intel Logo shows up where you can press F2, F7, and F10 for BIOS Setup, BIOS Update and BOOT Settings respectively. The problem is that after the warning, it asks for a BIOS password, which I have forgotten a long time ago (can't even remember setting it) and I cannot bypass this warning by pressing F2 to go straight to BIOS settings. I tried entering blank, 123456, and other default passwords I find on the web.

I have already tried removing the 24-pin motherboard ATX power connector and 4-pin CPU power connector then removed the battery for almost a day and put it back in; the BIOS settings did not reset; also tried setting the Jumper to pins 2-3 (CFG) from pins (1-2) BIOS to configure the BIOS on boot up, but the Chassis Intrusion warning still takes over, asking for a password. And lastly, I also tried putting a jumper on the Chassis Intrusion header (It's composed of 2 pins only.) Still didn't work.

My guess is that, as long as the Chassis Intrusion event is still recorded in the BIOS event log, I can not do anything unless I type in the damn password.

Sorry for the lengthy post, I just want to get into details to avoid getting another solution I tried already and I really need my PC to work again to start practicing C++ and learn programming. Any OTHER ideas? Any other input would be very much, greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!

At 90 I have a lot of equipment locked into the arena of Windows 2000 and XP and much will not work on Windows 10 and many did not work on Windows 7, so I have dug out an old Intel Desktop-01 motherboard and built a reserve computer. However I cannot find the drivers and software for this board so can anybody help with a CD or know where to find the drivers etc.

DZ77BH-55K BIOS Recovery broken?

$

I tried to update my BIOS with the recommend method described at the Intel Download Center (via Windows). This failed and now my computer does not boot anymore. I disconnected the jumper, like it is described in the Help Section to start BIOS Recovery, i've tried 3 USB thumb sticks, with 2 Bios Versions (57, 70) and two CDs (same versions). The furthest I came was POST Code 31 at the POST Code LED. Normally it stops at Code 20.

Anybody can help me with this problem?

Thank you very much!

PS: Sometimes the POST Code is "d0", in the manual it says "reserved for future use"...

Edit:

I'm using a i7-3770, i tried to change the RAM-Position (and with only one module) (its compatible with the MB (Samsung M378B5273BH1-CH9)) nothing changes. I unplugged every device and connector, except power, ram and CPU, nothing changed. Every time I give it a try I removed the CMOS battery and kept it removed for half an hour.

If I try to boot normally, the PC goes on and off in like a 1 second rhythm. In this mode I can hold the Power Button and it beeps (first beep at all anyway, till now never heard a Beep, even at first time start)

Display stays black all the time (with or without recovery jumper). I tried USB 3.0, USB 2 and supercharger USB Slots, nothing happens. I really don't know what else I can do.

Right Click on Desktop causes Delay because of igfxsrvc.exe

Hello,

the process igfxsrvc.exe is apparently part of the Intel Common User Interface and in use/started when I perform a right click on the desktop which causes an annoying delay of about 2 seconds while opening the context menu.

What is that process for?

Can I disable it or is there another way to avoid the delay?

Intel Server Board S1200SPL.

В режиме Intel RSTe 4 RAID1 есть ли режим обновления тома "По запросу", как в более ранних Intel Server Board?

Этот режим необходим для защиты от воздействия вирусов.

Есть ли такой режим (RAID1 с ручным обновлением "По запросу") в режиме Intel ESRT2?

В описании ESRT2_Software_UG.pdf об этом ничего не сказано:

How To Make DZ87KLT-75K Fully Compatible With Haswell Refresh e.g. (Core i7-4790K Devil's Canyon)

$

I figured out how to make the DZ87KLT-75K fully compatible with Haswell refresh, in this post i confirm with a Core i7-4790K Devil's Canyon runs perfectly on the motherboard, short story is i had an i7-4770K initialy and happend to be in a position that allowed me access to the i7-4790K brand new boxed since i got it to work its now my main CPU in the DZ87KLT-75K

Before the steps as we all know the Haswell refresh CPUs are detected correctly in any 8series board by Intel, so what causes them not to function correctly is the Intel Management Engine (Intel ME), intel decided not to update the ME while updating BIOS, so the trick is just to update the Intel ME to aversion that come around same time as the Haswell refresh.

Steps

Assuming you have downloaded all the correct required files

1. I installed Core i7-4790K

2. Switched on PC booted into windows

3. I then followed steps to install

Intel ME 9.0 Consumer 1.5MB Firmware v9.0.31.1487

using this tool

Intel FWUpdate Tool for ME 9.0 Firmware v9.0.22.1467

I used the win tool in windows not dos

Everything went well shut down the PC then powered on again and all was well, restarted several times, even tinkerd with memory settings saved several times, run a stability test for 8 hour and all was ok

Intel ME files are found on this website along with all the necessary tools and instructions

Troubleshooting Wake on LAN on DZ77GA-70K Windows 7 x64

I tried several ways to setup WOL on my DZ77GA-70K Windows 7 x64 system on 82579V LAN interface. The closest solution is to leave on Power Management tab only “Wake on magic packet” checked – other options unchecked. Driver version is 12.10.28.0. (after installation of LAN_Win7_64_PROWin_19.1.exe) From another PC I sent packet with special tool that sent packet with MAC. This cause my computer getting awake from s3 (sleep). But this work only about several minutes after getting sleep. After about 10 minutes computer does not response and stays in Sleep mode (it’s possible to turn it on by pressing keyboard button). I think the problem is something related with DEEP sleep – I think PC turns off some LAN components after several minutes. How to disable this Deep Sleep? Or what is the way to use Wake on LAN on this mainboard?

Intel DX58SO2 No POST - Blank Screen

I am a newbie so this could be something really simple. I purchased this board to replace another mobo that had a bad USB chipset. All components (HD, video card, CPU, DVD ROM. PSU) were all working fine on other motherboard - just USB chipset was shot.

After installing the new board and powering up the PC, I do not get any display. The monitor doesn’t seem to receive any signal. The 80h POST code displayed is 14 (according to the manual that is LAN init).

Here is what I’ve tried so far:

-checked the CPU for bent pins

-reapplied thermal grease

-replaced all mobo screws and case studs

-tried the PCI-e video card in each of the slots

-pulled all the RAM out and tried to boot (no error beeps...this really concerns me because I was under the impression that I should get some beeps)

-swapped HD SATA cable to other SATA ports

-removed and reseated the CPU and motherboard

-disconnected and reconnected all power cables

-rechecked all cables are connected to the mobo correctly

Can someone please offer some assistance?

Thank You!

Intel DH87RL black screen with GTX1080, windows 10 runs fine

Hi,

I recently changed my dedicated graphics card on my Intel DH87RL motherboard with i7-4771 CPU. My new card is a Inno3D Geforce GTX1080. My old card was a Asus GTX970.

With the new card, my monitor shows no signal while booting to windows. The first visible thing on the monitor is the windows 10 Logon Screen.

The monitor is connected via Display Port.

Whats wrong with the bios or the settings? I use the latest bios. Without the Nvidia card, the integrated graphics works as usual.

Intel DZ87KLT-75K irritating issue

Before anything else, this is my rig.

4770k

kingston hyperx predator 2400mhz - stock speed under xmp 1.3 (4x4gb)

cm 750w psu

gtx 980ti

windows 10 home x64

Hi,

I have gotten this board with a sale 2 weeks ago. everything seems to be working fine. updated the bios to 0457 with the 4770k and boots just fine.

But then with this bios, everything that I save as a setting gets saved other than processor speed in which i tried setting it to 4.2ghz then it goes back to 3.9ghz in the bios as well as in windows. plus whenever I tried to set my memory stock speed to 2400mhz, it does not boot. it goes from post then off then post then off, same issue that I have read with the bios memory issue since the board came out.

its irritating as hell believe me, wasted 3 days of my time off leave for nothing.

I tried downgrading to 0453 because i cant get anywhere with the irritating "most updated bios" then things started to work. everything goes well and i was able to overclock to 4.2ghz without a problem so what am i saying as numerous issue?

i tried setting the ram to its stock speed of 2400mhz and boots just fine and i was able to use my PC but whenever i tried to download something like ANY SOFTWARE, it says network problem then i went ahead and check if anything was a miss from the device manager so i checked on the drivers then everything looks good. i tried updating some games that are NOT on steam because they had default launchers like heroes of the storm from blizzard and world of warships from war games and the same problem happens wherein it does not want to update the file because it keeps on saying that there is a failure in extracting the package. so my mind was blown and I cannot seem to know where the problem is. i reformatted like 5-6 times and was up for more than 36 hours just trying to fix this board.

finally when i was about to give up, I tried lowering it to 2133mhz with manual timings which is also based on the XMP profile and everything went fine including downloading software and updating games.

So my question is:

1. why does the 0457 does not work on the board?

2, bios 0453 is the only bios i can go to and seems to me that all this madness is pointing towards the bios support for the memory?

3. me and my friend bought the same board but his was able to update to 0457 and was even able to use a gskill trident memory to go as high as 3000. bios faulty again?

4. i tried re-updating to 0457 and its much much worse than before as my mouse does not even work anymore with it. luckily flashing back to 0453 only needs a keyboard. a faulty board or again, bios?

5. It should support 2400mhz according to the website as i saw somewhere but then why this does not work?

6. how to solve this issue?

Thank you for the help in advance. hopefully somebody can shed some light.

DX58SO RAM Issue

I have a DX58SO motherboard that I have been running 12G of Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 Mhz in a triple channel configuration. This had been up and running for nearly a year. This weekend, I took the system apart to changed out the cpu cooler. Now that I have reassembled, it refuses to POST with all three RAM modules installed; it gives 3 error beeps at startup which indicates a RAM error. It will POST just fine with two modules installed in the dual channel configuration. I have swapped out modules and all 3 will work in dual channel but it will not POST with any of the 3 in Channel A. As per the user manual, I am populating all 3 BLUE RAM slots for triple channel and the furthest from the CPU 2 BLUE slots for dual channel. Did my Channel A just crap out or is there something I am missing?

DQ45CB Possibility to upgrade Option ROM?

Hi,

I have a DQ45CB Mainboard. To get better Windows 10 Support (I know it has no official Windows 10 support, but it does work)

I want to upgrade the Option ROMs inside. (And get support for HDD >2TB)

In BIOS 0133 are inside:

RAID Option ROM 8.6.0.1007 and 8.5.2.1002

Intel Boot Agent GE 1.3.65

vBIOS 1940

Management Engine BIOS 5.2.40.1037

For the Components exists newer versions (found in other Forum)

RAID Option ROM 11.2.0.1527

Intel Boot Agent GE 1.3.72

vBIOS 2085

Management Engine BIOS 5.2.71.1048

Is there a Possibility to upgrade all the ROMs or a fiew myself? (Especially the RAID Option ROM)

The BIOS support UEFI boot. Does the Board support secure boot too??

Thank you for help!

Windows Update (on Windows 8.1) is trying to install an update for Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 and it keeps failing with error code 80070103. I have tried to contact with Microsoft, they advised to download that driver from Intel, I’ve done it. But it’s failing with the same error code 80070103. I would be grateful, if someone could help? Microsoft said that the error related to Intel product.
