Chipsatz mit 30 min Timer?

$

Hallo,

Connected 2 Corsair SP120 HP PWM (4-pin) fans to front and rear chassis headers, both not detected by BIOS (EBH7710H.86A.0103.2014.1015.1532). Can anyone help? They spin, currently running silently. Have yet to try under heavy load if any change in speed.

At 90 I have a lot of equipment locked into the arena of Windows 2000 and XP and much will not work on Windows 10 and many did not work on Windows 7, so I have dug out an old Intel Desktop-01 motherboard and built a reserve computer. However I cannot find the drivers and software for this board so can anybody help with a CD or know where to find the drivers etc.

Last-ditch BIOS recovery

If a board is unresponsive (no video, whether using on-chip graphics or a video card), there's nothing to be lost by attempting a Recovery BIOS installation in the hope that a confused BIOS can be convinced to return to the straight and narrow (this system died right after making what should have been a simple BIOS change, disabling network boot). I have two questions on that:

1) Does the Recovery BIOS process proceed if a user cannot see video and/or interact with the PC?

2) Does the Recovery BIOS process work with a single-step downgrade of BIOS, for example, if a board is already at the latest firmware?

I'm going to try it anyway, of course.

How To Make DZ87KLT-75K Fully Compatible With Haswell Refresh e.g. (Core i7-4790K Devil's Canyon)

$

I figured out how to make the DZ87KLT-75K fully compatible with Haswell refresh, in this post i confirm with a Core i7-4790K Devil's Canyon runs perfectly on the motherboard, short story is i had an i7-4770K initialy and happend to be in a position that allowed me access to the i7-4790K brand new boxed since i got it to work its now my main CPU in the DZ87KLT-75K

Before the steps as we all know the Haswell refresh CPUs are detected correctly in any 8series board by Intel, so what causes them not to function correctly is the Intel Management Engine (Intel ME), intel decided not to update the ME while updating BIOS, so the trick is just to update the Intel ME to aversion that come around same time as the Haswell refresh.

Steps

Assuming you have downloaded all the correct required files

1. I installed Core i7-4790K

2. Switched on PC booted into windows

3. I then followed steps to install

Intel ME 9.0 Consumer 1.5MB Firmware v9.0.31.1487

using this tool

Intel FWUpdate Tool for ME 9.0 Firmware v9.0.22.1467

I used the win tool in windows not dos

Everything went well shut down the PC then powered on again and all was well, restarted several times, even tinkerd with memory settings saved several times, run a stability test for 8 hour and all was ok

Intel ME files are found on this website along with all the necessary tools and instructions

Do you have any antecedent of this failure?

Must be actualizate the bios?

Right Click on Desktop causes Delay because of igfxsrvc.exe

Hello,

the process igfxsrvc.exe is apparently part of the Intel Common User Interface and in use/started when I perform a right click on the desktop which causes an annoying delay of about 2 seconds while opening the context menu.

What is that process for?

Can I disable it or is there another way to avoid the delay?

DZ77BH-55K BIOS Recovery broken?

$

I tried to update my BIOS with the recommend method described at the Intel Download Center (via Windows). This failed and now my computer does not boot anymore. I disconnected the jumper, like it is described in the Help Section to start BIOS Recovery, i've tried 3 USB thumb sticks, with 2 Bios Versions (57, 70) and two CDs (same versions). The furthest I came was POST Code 31 at the POST Code LED. Normally it stops at Code 20.

Anybody can help me with this problem?

Thank you very much!

PS: Sometimes the POST Code is "d0", in the manual it says "reserved for future use"...

Edit:

I'm using a i7-3770, i tried to change the RAM-Position (and with only one module) (its compatible with the MB (Samsung M378B5273BH1-CH9)) nothing changes. I unplugged every device and connector, except power, ram and CPU, nothing changed. Every time I give it a try I removed the CMOS battery and kept it removed for half an hour.

If I try to boot normally, the PC goes on and off in like a 1 second rhythm. In this mode I can hold the Power Button and it beeps (first beep at all anyway, till now never heard a Beep, even at first time start)

Display stays black all the time (with or without recovery jumper). I tried USB 3.0, USB 2 and supercharger USB Slots, nothing happens. I really don't know what else I can do.

RAID1 to RAID10

I'll be salvaging a rather old PC with DP35DP motherboard and Q9650 CPU.

I plan to keep the only 750GO HDD to run the OS and general programs and want to install 2 WD RED 3TO in RAID1 configuration. In the future, if I want to add 2 more 3TO (or larger) HDD and upgrade to a RAID10, will that be easy? Will I be able to do that without reformating all my drive? Or will I have to make an image of my RAID1 drive, format, reconfigure evyrthing and reload the backuped image?

Obviously, no matter how I do it, I will backup my data.

On a general note, in a 4 HDD RAID10 configuration, can I replace any HDD at anytime? Let say I have 3 3TO HDD and want to upgrade to 2x 6TO and 2x 3TO how would that work?

Thanks in advance

DX79si reboots before Bios

Sooooooo.... The other night I tried playing with the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility and when I rebooted to accept the changes the PC entered into a boot loop. The PC functioned perfectly before I changed things using the utility. I tried removing the battery, disconnecting power, tried the back to bios button, tried the jumper and a mix of all the above. To my dismay... Nothing. PC enters a boot loop and the last code is either 67 or b7 or 6F or bF. There has got to be a way to clear the CMOS right? Please help...

Troubleshooting Wake on LAN on DZ77GA-70K Windows 7 x64

$

I tried several ways to setup WOL on my DZ77GA-70K Windows 7 x64 system on 82579V LAN interface. The closest solution is to leave on Power Management tab only “Wake on magic packet” checked – other options unchecked. Driver version is 12.10.28.0. (after installation of LAN_Win7_64_PROWin_19.1.exe) From another PC I sent packet with special tool that sent packet with MAC. This cause my computer getting awake from s3 (sleep). But this work only about several minutes after getting sleep. After about 10 minutes computer does not response and stays in Sleep mode (it’s possible to turn it on by pressing keyboard button). I think the problem is something related with DEEP sleep – I think PC turns off some LAN components after several minutes. How to disable this Deep Sleep? Or what is the way to use Wake on LAN on this mainboard?

Graphics Driver for DQ77KB and Xeon E3-1265L v2

Hi, I've recently built a new system using a DQ77KB desktop board, and a Xeon E3-1265L v2 CPU. The CPU is listed as compatible with the board, and it works perfectly fine. I have installed Windows 7 64-bit on the system, and that works fine too.

The only problem I have is that the graphics driver for the board (HD Graphics Driver for Windows 7), that is available from the download center, says: "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software" during installation. I would assume that it is not compatible with the CPU, as in the "Read Me" file, Xeon is not listed. This means that I have to work with default in-box drivers from the Windows 7 Installation.

What I find odd, is that it has exactly the same graphics (HD Graphics 2500) as the i3-3220 (which I am using with another DQ77KB board).

Is there any way to get WDDM graphics drivers to install for this setup?

I appreciate all help.
