Unable to update DH77EB Bios 0053.

Greetings.

I need to update my BIOS to support a recently acquired GTX 960 GPU.

After reading the BIOS release notes https://downloadmirror.intel.com/24426/eng/EB_0103_ReleaseNotes.pdf , I concluded that my old 0053 BIOS needs to be updated to version 0098, at least, to support the aforementioned GPU. However, even though I closely followed the instructions on how to update it to a newer version (Download Atualização do BIOS [EBH7710H.86A] ), I had no success.

I am currenty using a 64-bits Windows 7 OS, so I initially downloaded the "EBH7710H.86A.0062.EB.EXE" file and executed it. The installation process was straightforward, and it prompted to restart my system to finish the update. Once it did, however, it simply "bricked" my PC, making it (a) unable to boot and (b) continuously overload, by doing quick restart loops. Thus, I was forced to reset the motherboard to factory defaults by removing and reinserting the CMOS battery.

Once again, I tried to update my motherboard, this time by downloading and installing the"EBH7710H.86A.0062.EB.WINPE64.EXE" file. And, indeed, the same results from before happened again.

After throrough search on the internet, I could not find a specific solution to this problem, so I came here to require assistance in this predicament.

Please, can you help me?

Flash BIOS update failing on D945GNTL

We use an Intel D945GNTL along with P4 631 "Cedar Mill" processor for customized OS/2 operating system computers. The place we source the boards and CPU's from this last time sent us ones with customized BIOS's that will not accept the flash upgrade to the latest BIOS version. I have tried updating with both the bootable ISO image, and also the BIOS recovery floppy methods. Both fail with the same error message.

I had thought that BIOS version 4119 was the latest for this board, however while searching for a way to make the board accept the BIOS update, I found that version 4131 has been available.

I updated to that 4131 version from the 4119 on another like system we have without the customized BIOS splash screen. It successfully upgraded from 4119 to 4131.

Perhaps since the splash screen was customized, is that preventing updating the BIOS version?

Any other suggestions?

RAID Screen...

Hello guys I need some help please. I installed a second hard drive on my Windows 10 desktop and ever since then, upon restarting I get a RAID screen for a few seconds asking me to click CTRL I to inter RAID configurations. This does not happen when I unplug that hard drive and only run on the main hard drive. I'm able to see the hard drive and move files in it. How do I get rid of this screen from showing up? I don't even know what a RAID is and honestly, if I don't need it, I don't want it. Please help. Thanks in advance!

DP55WB Memory Upgrade Query

$

I have using a PC with Intel motherboard DP55WB for a while. I have 4GB of RAM total with 2 DDR3 1333 MHz sticks at both Channel A and B at DIMM 0 sockets. I wish to upgrade the RAM to 16 GB total. When I tried searching for recent specs, I found there are lot of RAM sticks with higher speed and voltage.

From this link http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards/000006516.html I realize that DP55WB doesn't support speed higher than 1333MHz. Also Intel has never tested higher capacity memory spec, see link http://www.cmtlabs.com/2012/mbSearchResults.asp?sManuf=Intel&sMem=DDR3&sMN=DP55WB&oSubmit=Search.

Would would be safe to buy 2 8GB memory stick of "Vengeance® — 8GB DDR3 Memory Kit (CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10)" link http://www.corsair.com/en-in/vengeance-8gb-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz8gx3m1a1600c10. It says:

Speed Rating PC3-12800 (1600MHz)

SPD Speed 1333MHz

I am not sure what they mean? Can someone please advice.

Beep Code (3 Times) at the DH67CF

Hello,

I've got a problem with my intel mainboard DH67CF (together with an intel i5-3470t). As some boards of this type, mine gives me also 3 beeps during POST.

I've already checked most options with the RAM:

- changed the RAM several times,

- tried two different types of memory ( both new and tested in a running system, Kingston KVR13N9S8K2/8 1333MHZ 2x4GB with 1.5V and Corsair CMX CMX8GX3M2A1333C9 1333MHZ 2x4 GB with 1.65V),

- used both memory slots (both together, just slot 1 and then slot 2)

- set the jumper on the three possible positions

- disconnected hdd and gpu

- disconnected the cmos-battery after the testings I mentioned before

- then tested the Kingston memory again in all positions without hdd and gpu

Nothing solved my problem with the three beeps.

So far I couldn't get into the BIOS to update it, as somebody said, that for the 3rd generation of intel-processors an update is needed.

Have I forgotten or missed something, or did I just buy a defective board? I bought it as a used one, but it was said to be like new (just used as a service part)...

I would be really glad to get some help!

DZ68BC-BSOD Twice a week

As Princess Lia once said "Help me Obi Wan Kanobi (Intel Discussion Board) you're my only hope"

After a few months after I upgraded to Win 10- a few things started to happen.

At least twice a week- BSOD_

With that, the MB would take allot longer to boot to up- about a minute or two before the F2,F7, options would show up in the lower RHS of screen.

My anti-virus, ESET updated and does have the Boot scan enabled- which might be the reason.

Then after the window screen appears- about a minute more before my wireless mouse and keybd will operate.

I have tried the suggestions here on this thread-

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-performance/bsod-win-10/495dcf70-6dc3-4c02-90dd-bc1b832798a3?page=1

I have updated the video driver & Gig. Ethernetcontroller no problem-

But the SATA driver update suggested in the thread above leads to a BSOD- Not sure it is the right one as I do not use RAID on my drives.

I have not updated the BIOS as of yet- nervous about it to tell the truth. I want to clone my HD first just in case.

I have ran a MEM test- no problems, and OS is up to date-

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

How To Make DZ87KLT-75K Fully Compatible With Haswell Refresh e.g. (Core i7-4790K Devil's Canyon)

$

I figured out how to make the DZ87KLT-75K fully compatible with Haswell refresh, in this post i confirm with a Core i7-4790K Devil's Canyon runs perfectly on the motherboard, short story is i had an i7-4770K initialy and happend to be in a position that allowed me access to the i7-4790K brand new boxed since i got it to work its now my main CPU in the DZ87KLT-75K

Before the steps as we all know the Haswell refresh CPUs are detected correctly in any 8series board by Intel, so what causes them not to function correctly is the Intel Management Engine (Intel ME), intel decided not to update the ME while updating BIOS, so the trick is just to update the Intel ME to aversion that come around same time as the Haswell refresh.

Steps

Assuming you have downloaded all the correct required files

1. I installed Core i7-4790K

2. Switched on PC booted into windows

3. I then followed steps to install

Intel ME 9.0 Consumer 1.5MB Firmware v9.0.31.1487

using this tool

Intel FWUpdate Tool for ME 9.0 Firmware v9.0.22.1467

I used the win tool in windows not dos

Everything went well shut down the PC then powered on again and all was well, restarted several times, even tinkerd with memory settings saved several times, run a stability test for 8 hour and all was ok

Intel ME files are found on this website along with all the necessary tools and instructions

How do i fix corrupt BIOS in DH61WW

Hello people,

I encountered an issue when I was updating my BIOS. I preferred not to update, but a software (Actually came in as a malware) forced me to. It installed 0099 build of BIOS using the exe method, and the PC did not boot after that. Tried the F7 Update via USB disc, no help. The PC gets stuck at the "Hit Enter for Yes and Escape for No" dialog. Tried the recovery BIOS flash method, but my PC does not display anything for a long time. I also tried removing the CMOS Battery and clearing. Now I believe that my board is bricked. Is there any way to fix it? Will the Intel center be able to fix it?

P.S. my Intel Management Engine shows version 0.0.0.0. The thing that went wrong was that it flashed 0099 over 0016 which I realised after the flash was over.

Dear Sirs,

I've installed a Kingston SMS200S3/60G on this board, but this board isn't no more able to get powered on, now I've removed the disk, but still unable to power on the board.

Tried to remove every device, clean CMOS, checked the power supply, still seems to be dead.

Any ideas? Please, any advice would be really appreciated.

Windows 10 compatibility with DH77EB motherboard with the RAID 1 Mirror

Is Windows 10 compatible with the Intel DH77EB motherboard with the RAID 1 Mirror function enabled? Intel is showing drivers for Windows 8 but not Windows 10. I am thinking that it will work with Windows 10 without the RAID, but concerned that it will not work with the RAID. Thanks for any advise.
