DQ77KB no picture until Windows 8 loads

Hi!

I'm having some trouble with my DQ77KB and I can't se the post screen so I can't enter bios. If I wait a few seconds my screen appears when I enter Windows so I can use my computer. I have tried to disconnect the battery for an hour and updated my bios but with no luck. Also tried both hdmi and Displayport on my computer screen and jdmi on my TV with the same result. Anyone has a clue what it can be?

Will flashing DH61WW (AA: G23116-206) with BIOS 0099 up from 0044 still give me support for i5-2320 processor?

Will flashing DH61WW (AA: G23116-206) with BIOS 0099 still give me support for i5-2320 processor?  When I flashed from the original 0038 to 0046 it gave me the message "Unsupported Processor".  Then I had to go through the complicated recovery process in order to flash 0044 so that the i5-2320 processor was recognized again.  Now I want to correct the PS/2 keyboard issue that 0099 corrects but I am afraid that if I upgrade to version 0099 I will lose processor support again.  Can someone from Intel please confirm this, I hate bricked motherboards because they (1) force me to buy another Windows license, (2) make me think of not buying the same brand of motherboard again.  Thanks in advance,

Will flashing DH61WW (AA: G23116-206) with BIOS 0099 up from 0044 still give me support for i5-2320 processor?

When I flashed from the original 0038 to 0046 it gave me the message "Unsupported Processor" at powerup time

(and prevented the OS from loading).

Then I had to go through the complicated recovery procedure back to 0042 (because 0038 was not available to end users)

which gave me Management Engine version 0.0.0.0 and an unusable board, until at last, I was able to flash 0044 with

the recovery procedure so that the i5-2320 processor was recognized and the motherboard was functional again.

DH61AG CIR problem with new bios

With bios 044 (and older) the CIR receiver from Inteset was working.

After update to 099 and 104 the device is visible in Windows/Linux but no events are received. The same with version 105.

Bios defaults are already loaded and the ir option is enabled.

My board revision is G23736-400.

Thanks.

Problem in DG41TY motherboard with Windows 7

Hi All,

I have core 2 duo 2.2 ghz and recently changed my motherboard from asus to intel DG41TY.

I tried to install windows 7 several times, however every time the OS installation process continuing till giving the credentials to finish the installation after that i should have get the desktop screen but  I'm getting the welcome screen after the machine automatically started to restart after the restart a blinking black screen and nothing more than that.

Please note the following,

1) Windows xp is loading correctly

2) I tried different media of Windows 7, but the outcome was same. The same was and is working fine in my brothers desktop.

3) I even tried different flavour of windows 7 but the outcome was same. The same was and is working fine in my brothers desktop.

4) I have previously installed windows 7 a ton of times and know that I am following the correct procedure

I assume either windows 7 cannot be loaded at all on  intel DG41TY with core 2 duo 2.2 ghz or their is some trick to get pass this issue.

Your quick help is appreciated.

LVDS connector on Desktop Board DH61AG

Hello.

Is there an eDP 40 pin connector specification available for the DQ77KB?

Hi,

I am trying to find the physical connector specification of the eDP connector used on the DQ77KB.

Table 32 in the technical manual states "40 pin eDP Connector" and gives the electrical pin out.  What is the manufactuer/part no of that connector?  Is anyone aware of any off the shelf open ended cables or know of a supplier for made up cables for this board?

Best regards,
David.

Periodically getting "network cable unplugged" error on DZ77GA-70K after booting.

Every so often when I boot my computer after a shutdown get the network cable unplugged notification on the primary LAN port (82579V) even though the cable is still fine. This only happens when the computer first starts and can be addressed by either unplug/replugging the cable or disable/reenabling the network adapter. It will then work perfect for the duration of the computer being on, and might even be fine after my next shutdown and fresh boot. It seems completely random.

I thought it might have been a problem with Fastboot on Windows 8 causing some kind of issue with the device, but even with that disabled it still occurs. It has happened off and on since I got the motherboard, through multiple bios/lan driver versions (currently 0064 and 18.0.1.0). This is little more than a minor annoyance every now and then, but it still shouldn't happen.

Has anyone else experienced something like this with this board or any similar to it?

Looking for Compatible Northbridge Heatsink for Intel DX58SO Motherboard

Hello all!

I'm looking for a Northbridge X58 Chipset heatsink that's compatible with my Intel DX58SO motherboard. I will be overclocking so something with stock or better heat dissipation is desired. I no longer have the stock heatsink for the northbridge (don't ask how I lost it).

I've found a couple different heatsinks but I don't know if they're compatible with the DX58SO. The mounting holes on this board seem farther apart than what I see on other boards. I tried taking some measurements of the four mounting holes and this is what I got:

Horizontal Holes: 66.675mm apart

Vertical Holes: 47.625mm apart

Diagonal Holes: 80.9625mm apart

Here are two of the heatsink/fans combos I was considering:

-Enzotech Cnb-r1 and 40mmx40mm fan

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835708002&Tpk=cnb-r1&IsVirtualParent=1  and http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=20870

SilenX IXN-40C Copper Chipset Cooler

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835226019

I'm struggling to find a new chipset heatsink for this motherboard. Can anyone help me figure out if the above heatsinks will be compatible with the Intel DX58SO Northbridge? And if none of the above are compatible, do you know of any that are?

Xeon E55xx series processor in the DX58OG?

I am getting ready to order parts for a new computer and I am planning on getting a Xeon E5530 cpu and the DX58OG. Will this combo work? I know it is not officially supported, but this cpu isn't supported by ASUS boards either but it still runs.X58

Dx79SI and 3820...booted once, now nothing

HI folks:

built, booted to bios, everything fine. About 2 minutes of browsing bios the machine shutdown, just stopped. Since then any attempt to power up the I get a fast red led blink next to STBY, "hot CPU" blinks once followed by "HD activity" blue once then Stops. STBY led stays on. CPU fan turns once or twice.

I tried pulling all the memory, the graphics card, I get no beeps, nothing just the led activity I mentioned.

Board mfr date 1/13 and is greater than the series that had the obsolete bios for the 3820.

Haven't been able to try new PSU.

Any idea's would be greatly appreciated. Seems like something fried after 2 mins.

DZ77GA-70K no post, no video! Help

Hello all.  I have a problem with my new build.  I have the INTEL DZ77GA-70K SOCKET LGA1155 MOTHERBOARD, an i7 3770, 8gb of ddr3 1600, BFG 650w power supply, 64gb SSD, 1tb hhd, cdrw and a blue ray drive.  Gtx 560ti 1gb ddr5.  When I start my computer everything powers up.  The video card fan, the case fan, all the lights, the hard drive, the optical drives but I get no video signal.  No beeps.  Regardless of me removing pieces such as  1 or both sticks of ram, video card, or processor.  The screen acts as if its not connected?  I had a friend come over who is better at building a computers and has built many. He tried his video card and still the same results.  The green light on the board is always on?  I was looking up that light and its standby?  I'm not sure.  But that light is always on when there is power.  He came to the conclusion it was a bad board. So I ordered a new one.  It scams in today and I hooked everything up and the exact same thing is happening.  Everything powers up the same way and there is still no video.  So nothing ever comes up on my screen, no logo, no error beeps occur again when I remove hardware. Can anyone help me? Many thanks,  Shane

DZ68BC 003X BIOS, I Found The Root Problem (Attention Intel Please Respond)

As the title states I found the root cause of all the misery and agony that DZ68BC users have been encountering with the 003X BIOS.

The root cause is the Intel Management Engine Version.

Initially the DZ68BC was designed to run only one version and that was the Version 7. which works pretty well. Then Introduction of 3rd gen had them Include Version 8 in the BIOS file and by doing so lead to the problems encountered with various versions of the 003x BIOS.

The issues arise coz the BIOS files carry two versions of Intel ME which are 8 & 7, the initial ones did not have both versions in the BIOS files they had only one version hence there were no issues.

I will not go into details of various methods that lead me to this conclusion, unless if any one wants please reply in the thread and i will explain.

DZ68BC Boards that I have tested versions 403 and 402.

The simplest answer and conclusion is Intel should compile 2 separate BIOS files for the DZ68BC

1. For people with 2nd Gen the BIOS should only have the Version 7 Intel ME

2. For people with 3rd Gen the BIOS should only have the Version 8 Intel ME

eg the 0039 BIOS should be two (0039 2nd Gen) and (0039 3rd Gen)

The problem arises when the two are present, and the board cant determine correctly which to install depending on scenario of the set up.

eg If you are to install a 3rd gen you need to have 2nd gen to update then while updating the BIOS the Intel ME stays at the V7 instead of moving to V8 then when you instal 3gen CPU it works but the system becomes unstable mostly with the 0035 BIOS, if you update from 0035 to any 003x or run recovery with same BIOS it moves to V8 the instability is gone but you get Intel ME and PCH issues and if on the 0035 Overclock issue on it.

So its either Intel Complies 2 BIOS for the Board or 1 that has only Version 7 of the Intel ME and they should forget about the Version 8.

Intel PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS acknowledge by also producing a BIOS UPDATE

DH77EB/KC CPU Fan at 100% on boot and/or wake.

We've recently been rolling these boards into our repertoire and noticed that the CPU fan always ramps to 100% on boot and/or wake from sleep state, and then settles down after a few seconds.  This is behavior we usually associate with server boards or desktop boards with a "detect fans at next boot" function.  I've searched the latest BIOS in both board but dont see anything which pertains to this.  Our end users find it a little annoying, coming from previous platforms which don't exhibit this disconcerting noise.

Intel D2550+DVI+Windows XP

Hello all

I have problem with DVI port and Windows XP. When my monitor connected throught the DVI I can enter in BIOS, but when starting Windows XP I has black screen. With VGA all works. I think problem with drivers. Intel support page doesn`t has Video driver for Windows XP - there is some constructor for driver making and also can download some instruction how to use this constructor. This user manual has information how to make driver for VGA connection, but doesn't has info for DVI. Can you help please?

Will flashing DH61WW (AA: G23116-206) with BIOS 0099 up from 0044 still give me support for i5-2320 processor?

Will flashing DH61WW (AA: G23116-206) with BIOS 0099 up from 0044 still give me support for i5-2320 processor?

When I flashed from the original 0038 to 0046 it gave me the message "Unsupported Processor" at powerup time (and prevented the OS from loading).

Then I had to go through the complicated recovery procedure back to 0042 (because 0038 was not available to end users) which gave me Management Engine version 0.0.0.0 and an unusable board, until at last, by trial and error on version numbers, I was able to flash 0044 using the recovery procedure, so that the i5-2320 processor was recognized and the motherboard was functional again.

Now I want to correct the PS/2 keyboard issue that 0113 corrects but per the 0113 instructions I have to flash 0099 first.  However I am afraid that if I upgrade to version 0099 I will lose processor support again (since it happenned to me every time I tried a BIOS which had the 3rd Generation Core Processor Support Warning on the Relase Notes.pdf).

Can someone from Intel please confirm this, I hate bricked motherboards because they (1) force me to buy another Windows license, (2) make me think of not buying the same brand of motherboard again.  Thanks in advance,

Miguel
