Intel Desktop Utilities don't work on my DX79SR-based computer
Hi,
I've recently built a computer based upon the DX79SR mobo and am trying to get desktop utilities v3.2.4.055b (the version specified by the download center) to run on my computer and all I get is the never ending anti-clockwise rotation of the "blue dots" indicating the program is trying to assess the computer. Any hints at what I may be doing wrong or if this is the incorrect version for the motherboard would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance and have a good day.
Intel® Desktop Board DZ77SL-50K Bootorder, Offset Voltage, Rapid Storage
i've the board with the newest Bios i actually have 3 Problems where 2 Problems are serious and the third maybe more a Feature request.
I start with the Feature Request: I can't set any negative Offset Voltage for Turbo Boost... my old board gave 1.284 Volt in Turbo mode where it is with the DZ77SL-50K is not possible at all to lower the Turbo boost voltage it gives in all cases (in my case) everytime 1.3 Volt at least!
(i tried with all possible Settings).also a negative Offset voltage for the Standard Vid (Dynamic) is not possible just positive Values. and using a Fixed Voltage looses the Engery Saving.......
2 Serious Problems:
I've a Raid0 Setup with 2x Samsung Spintpoint F3 and 1x WD RE4
i've formatted "Roadrunner" to 2 TB and "Synergy" to the left Space and set both Bootable in the Intel Raid Bios
On Roadrunner is Win7
on Synergy is Linux / Grub 0.97
if i now Change the bootorder to synergy first it doenst work it doesnt boot up my Linux but instead boot up Roadrunner!
if i press i believe F10 for boot selection and select synergy it starts up Linux/ Synergy.
The Second Problem:
as said ive 3 hdds everything fine in raid 0, and additional 1 CDRW Drive LG HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH22NS50
after Windows install with the old Raid Driver everything works fine the Drive is recognized.
If i Install the newest Intel Rapid Storage Drivers the Drive is not accessiable anymore .. it is recognized as drive and in the devicemanger but it doenst read and write any DVDs anymore.
best regards,
Christian Jeschke

DG41KR memory support
I have a PC with DG41KR desktop board. I have tried to plug JM1333KLN-4G (240PIN DDR3 1333 Unbuffered DIMM 4GB With 256Mx8 CL9) transcend ram in one of the DIMM slot. But I am getting 3 short beeps and sysyem is not booting. Is this memory not compatiable?
NM10 excessive temp on D510MO motherboard
Hi,
The D510MO has a very large passive heatsink for the Atom processor with graphics but no heatsink on the NM10 chipset. According to specs, the max dissipation for the Atom is 13 W and the NM10 is 2.1 W. Without a heatsink the NM10 gets extremely hot so we glued a copper heatsink onto it. This is drawing heat away from the NM10 since the heatsink feels warm to the touch.
Has anybody else noticed a thermal problem with the D510MO board?
Thanks.

Boot problem on pure mini pcie SSD (2Go) on DN2800MT mobo
Hi all,
I'd like to boot on my Pcie SSD (which is not mSATA)...
My DN2800MT see it as a boot peripheral, it appears when I press the F10 key at start but always stops with "no boot device has been detected, ..."
This SSD Mini PCIe was working/ booting well on my old D945GSEJT with the same system on it.
Do someone has encountered this problem and is there any solution for this config to work?
Thanks
Phil
DN2800MT - mSATA SSD not recognized

Z68BC issues. Cant see *ANY* of my network adapters, and LAN driver wont install
Hi there,
I have a Z68BC with a 2600k and dual 7970s. after shutting down my computer one day, and then turning it back on, windows 7 doesn't see any network adapters in the network and sharing center, and when i try to update my LAN driver, it finishes, but when i go to device manager, it says the device is disabled because the driver is causing issues.
so two issues here:
1: windows doesent see my internet devices(i have a Intel 6300 wifi adapter, and LAN)
2: LAN adapter does update, but in device manager says it cant turn on the driver.
DX79TO And PCIE 3.0
Hello All,
I am using a DX79TO with an i7 3930k.
I want to purchase a Radeon HD7870XT and that card uses PCIE 3.0.
The box of my DX79TO has an * by the PCIE 3.0 saying it would work with processor that supports PCIE 3.0.
So would the i73930k enable PCIE 3.0 support on this board.
Thanks
problems with bios uefi DH77EB and ASUS HD7850
after the last BIOS started working mode Secure Download Windous 8 in uefi mode. However, the video card ASUS HD 7850 continues to produce an error when loading problems with the identification of video memory. This problem can not be solved by Intel. And no way to reach them. Forum is not helping, and official support is not available to individuals. For a lack of respect for their customers. Better to buy products from other companies. AMD and ADR normally meet.
Will flashing DH61WW (AA: G23116-206) with BIOS 0099 up from 0044 still give me support for i5-2320 processor?
Will flashing DH61WW (AA: G23116-206) with BIOS 0099 up from 0044 still give me support for i5-2320 processor?
When I flashed from the original 0038 to 0046 it gave me the message "Unsupported Processor" at powerup time (and prevented the OS from loading).
Then I had to go through the complicated recovery procedure back to 0042 (because 0038 was not available to end users) which gave me Management Engine version 0.0.0.0 and an unusable board, until at last, by trial and error on version numbers, I was able to flash 0044 using the recovery procedure, so that the i5-2320 processor was recognized and the motherboard was functional again.
Now I want to correct the PS/2 keyboard issue that 0113 corrects but per the 0113 instructions I have to flash 0099 first. However I am afraid that if I upgrade to version 0099 I will lose processor support again (since it happenned to me every time I tried a BIOS which had the 3rd Generation Core Processor Support Warning on the Relase Notes.pdf).
Can someone from Intel please confirm this, I hate bricked motherboards because they (1) force me to buy another Windows license, (2) make me think of not buying the same brand of motherboard again. Thanks in advance,
Miguel
DZ77GA-70K Network Adapter disconnected upon waking
My system has recently started coming out of sleep mode with the 82579V network adapter disconnected, however inconstantly.
A dialog box indicated the network adapter has disconnected due to an error.
Other application dialog boxes complain that they cannot connect to the network.
Intel Driver Version is 12.2.45.0 from the latest ProWin7_64_18 upgrade.
Under Properties only the [allow computer to turn off this device to save power] is selected.
To temporarily get the network reconnected I go into Device Manager and Disable and re-Enable the network adapter
and all is well until wakes from sleep mode.
Thanks, Rod...
DZ68BC 003X BIOS, I Found The Root Problem (Attention Intel Please Respond)
As the title states I found the root cause of all the misery and agony that DZ68BC users have been encountering with the 003X BIOS.
The root cause is the Intel Management Engine Version.
Initially the DZ68BC was designed to run only one version and that was the Version 7. which works pretty well. Then Introduction of 3rd gen had them Include Version 8 in the BIOS file and by doing so lead to the problems encountered with various versions of the 003x BIOS.
The issues arise coz the BIOS files carry two versions of Intel ME which are 8 & 7, the initial ones did not have both versions in the BIOS files they had only one version hence there were no issues.
I will not go into details of various methods that lead me to this conclusion, unless if any one wants please reply in the thread and i will explain.
DZ68BC Boards that I have tested versions 403 and 402.
The simplest answer and conclusion is Intel should compile 2 separate BIOS files for the DZ68BC
1. For people with 2nd Gen the BIOS should only have the Version 7 Intel ME
2. For people with 3rd Gen the BIOS should only have the Version 8 Intel ME
eg the 0039 BIOS should be two (0039 2nd Gen) and (0039 3rd Gen)
The problem arises when the two are present, and the board cant determine correctly which to install depending on scenario of the set up.
eg If you are to install a 3rd gen you need to have 2nd gen to update then while updating the BIOS the Intel ME stays at the V7 instead of moving to V8 then when you instal 3gen CPU it works but the system becomes unstable mostly with the 0035 BIOS, if you update from 0035 to any 003x or run recovery with same BIOS it moves to V8 the instability is gone but you get Intel ME and PCH issues and if on the 0035 Overclock issue on it.
So its either Intel Complies 2 BIOS for the Board or 1 that has only Version 7 of the Intel ME and they should forget about the Version 8.
Intel PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS acknowledge by also producing a BIOS UPDATE
New DX79TO will not boot
New DX79TO with i7 3820 processor, 8 Gig of memory, DVD, video card (works in another PC) & new 2 TB hard drive will not boot. On power up, CPU & system fans come on and the Board Status LED "F" flashes green, "K" flashes red and "L" is solid green. The Post Code LED display shows B0. The board then restarts on it's own and all of the indicators stay as already stated.Nothing is displayed on the monitor during this process. This happens regardless of the DX79TO is in the case or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Problem with DP55WB and a video card.
Hello everyone,
I recently bought a Gigabyte HD 7850, as an update for my old GTS250, which always have worked fine.
With the new board correctly installed, when I turn on the PC, it freezes in the BIOS splash screen, and stays there forever.
At first, I thought it could be a problem with the video card. A friend tested in two other PCs and it worked. So I thought it could be a power supply issue, so I bought a Coursair 650W, but the same error persists.
So I tried to update the Bios firmware to the latest available. With my old video card plugged, I downloaded the firmware update windows app. and ran it. It required a reboot, but when it tried to reboot, I got the two beeps and no successful boot. So, I put the jumper in the config position, entered the bios setup, rebooted, and it worked again with my old card, but keep getting the same error with the new one.
Now I just ran out of options. What should I do?
My PC specs:
- Motherboard DP55WB (bought in 2010);
- Processor I5 750;
- Windows 7 x64;
- 2x8Gb ram coursair;
- Coursair 650W Modular;
- HD500gb samsung/SSD250gb samsung;
- GTS250 1Gb (working) / HD7850 2Gb (not working);
Is there an eDP 40 pin connector specification available for the DQ77KB?
Hi,
I am trying to find the physical connector specification of the eDP connector used on the DQ77KB.
Table 32 in the technical manual states "40 pin eDP Connector" and gives the electrical pin out. What is the manufactuer/part no of that connector? Is anyone aware of any off the shelf open ended cables or know of a supplier for made up cables for this board?
Best regards,
David.

dx79to and i7 - 3930K not booting ubuntu
Hi,
I have dx79to using HyperX Blu 8GB 1600MHz ram and i7 - 3930k cpu and even with the latest 0559 bios update ubuntu doesn't boot if I enable more than 1 cpu in bios, kernel hangs at: Booting Node 0, Processors #1
If I enable all cores system boots only if I set maxprocessors=1 or acpi=off kernel options
The same thing happens if I use linux 3.2 (default 12.04LTS kernel) or 3.5 (backport from the latest ubuntu)
Here is how the screen looks when it stops booting:
Any ideas?
