DZ87KLT-75K USB 3.0 Driver problems. Help?
Hi, I'm not the best at explaining things so please bare with me .
I have an Intel DZ87KLT-75K motherboard which has support for additional USB3.0 ports (obviously) and I have a CoolerMaster HAF X case, which has 2x USB3.0 ports on the front. I have them plugged straight into the correct spot on the motherboard (the blue 20-pin? port), they work all well and good without the USB3.0 drivers but only at USB2.0 speeds (obviously) that's no issue. But when I install the USB3.0 drivers for my board and OS: win7 64-bit this one- (Download Center) they work at full USB3.0 speeds, however, when I have a device plugged into them, there is no option to safely remove the device. It has completely disappeared as though the device is not removable. This is ONLY when the USB3.0 driver are installed. And ONLY with the 2x front USB3.0 ports on the case. All other USB3.0/USB2.0 ports work flawlessly. I have tried using third party safely remove tools, still the devices don't show. Happens with both flash drives and portable HDDs. I tried a fresh installation of Windows, still does the same thing. Took me a while to figure out but after long hours spent of trial and error I have decided it's definitely something to do with the driver itself. I've played around with the settings in device manager/BIOS, still doesn't seem to have an option regarding safely removing media. At first I thought maybe it was a feature of the driver and it just didn't need to be done but after only a few days of using no safely remove and just yanking the drives out after use, I had corrupt data, missing files etc. Maybe there is an option somewhere I have missed that needs to be changed? I don't know.
I have googled so many times and looked all over forums to see if anyone is experiencing the same problem and I cant seem to find any info on this exact problem anywhere so here I am seeking any advice/help to overcome my issue.
If I have left out any vital information that may help please let me know, greatly appreciate any help that may be provided
Thanks.
Intel DX79SR USB 3.0 not working with Windows 8.1 64bit
The USB 3.0 sockets have never worked on this board when used with Windows 8.1, Please help.
DX79SR and USB 3.0 Firmware Updates
I'm sure like most of you, your USB 3.0 ports are not working under Windows 8. When I saw the firmware updates dated 5/9/2013, I thought finally. Well after installing the update I can say they still don't work. I install both updates, front and rear. The front update processes fine...and those ports may work, but I don't have them hooked up. The rear update throws the message Device not found!
Any help to get this working under Windows 8, would be much appreciated.

DH61CR, after bios update, fails to boot
Hi everyone,
I have a pc with DH61CR motherboard, i5-2400, 4GB of RAM. Decided to update bios. Working bios was form year 2010. Express bios flash failed few times, with newest, and few earlier vesions. Decided to flash to next version after curent, working one. Success. Then I flashed one, from Dec 2012. Success. Bios looks different, mouse cursor, etc. Nice... The problem is, that it freezes in first BIOS window, showing Intel logo. If i press F10, i get boot devices list, but after selecting anything, it freezes, only reset helps. Bios update with F7 does not do nothing. Tried resetting BIOS, changing RAM, even CPU, without graphics card - the same. Tried BIOS recovery mode by removing jumper - no image, just cycling between on and off. Is there a way to revive motherboard? I have experience of 10 years of fixing similar issues, but I think only way now is RMA it. Any advice is very welcomed, thanks.
DZ77GA-70K onboard video not working any more
Hello,
i have a DZ77GA-70K with i7-3770 and i am using the inegrated graphics. Since yesterday i get a "no video" error beep code (2x beep, pause, 2x,beep). WIth an additional graphics card the error disappears.
I already changed the power supply and disconnected all hdds and extension cards. I also loaded bios defaults.
Bios Version: 63
Does anybody have an idea what i should do?
Should i try to update the bios to version 66?
Is this an mainboard or cpu error?
Thanks

im some what green so please be patient. I have an intel(R) core(TM) i5 cpu 650 @ 3.20GHZ 3.19GHZ. I googled this and as far as I can see it can hold up too 16 gigs of ram. I in fact have two 2 gig Kingston ram sticks but it has availed at 2.99gig. I put the stick in slot 1 blue and slot 2 blue = 2 gigs. I put the stick in slot 1 black and slot two black = 2 gig, slot 1 blue and slot 2 black= 2.99gig. why is it only allowing me to use 2.99 out of my 4 gigs?
Intel DX58SO2 Replacement?
GDay Everyone.
I have an Intel DX58SO2 with an i7 990x cpu.
I am fairly sure that the motherboard has died. I have tried replacing every single component, and have isolated the motherboard itself or the CPU as the possible suspects.
So I went looking for a LGA 1366 motherboard to replace this, but find it extremely hard to source a replacement, like from anywhere? I have looked long and hard, on NewEgg and from some local online stores here in Australia but cant find anything I can buy so that I can continue to use my cpu, ram, video, case, psu, etc etc etc?
Am I just plain stupid or ignorant and just am not looking hard enough, or should I give up on the idea of ever using my i7 990x cpu ever again?
I was really happy with the standard performance of the cpu and never tried overclocking, so will be fairly dissappointed if I cant easily source a LGA1366 type motherboard that can support the i7 990x. Seems such a waste as the cpu is awesome.
Cheers,
Cy

D410PT mITX MoBo doesn't detect video card. Limitations?
I built a mini PC a few years ago using a D410PT mITX MoBo. Works fine, however, I need to add a video card as the on board VGA will no longer do.
Unfortunately, the old MoBo only has a single PCI (not PCIe) slot, so I must use an old style video card. I purchased a GeForce 6600GS, but the computer didn't even detect it. I believe it was because it required more power than the D410's PCI slot can provide.
So, before I waste any more money, can anyone tell me what are the physical restrictions to use a PCI video card with this MoBo? I need something with at least DVI support. I can always provide extra power to a card that needs it (though its PSU is only 300watts. I can go bigger if necessary.)
TIA.
Intel management Engine says your system does not meet the minimum requirement for installing this software.
I have an Intel DH61WW motherboard and Core i3 2100 proc, 2GB Ram , Windows 7 Pro 32 bit , The problem I had was i updated my BIOS from 0020 to 0048 worked fine, then from 0048 to 0099 , After updating to 099 my PC stuck on the bootup screen and was completely unresponsive so somehow got BIOS chip changed PC is working fine but Intel management Engine is showing 0.0.0.0 and Gigabit ethernet adapter is not starting with boot , I suppose this is the problem of IMEI but when I try to install its drivers , I get your system does not meet the minimum requirement for installing this software . Help me pleasee !!!! Current BIOS version after getting the chip changed is 0044.
DB75EN unable to disable USB boot
I have a Windows 7 64-bit system that is created by running diskpart & and applying an image using imagex. We want to have a USB flash drive connected to allow the user to restore the base image via WinPE upon a HD failure. Everything works fine with the exeption that with the USB drive connected, regardless of the BIOS setting (boot order and even having USB boot disabled), the computer boots to the USB.

DZ68DB board can see drives bigger than 2 TB?
I have a computer with a DZ68DB board.
My old data drive (D) was going bad so I bought a 5 TB Toshiba drive to replace it. I plugged it into an external caddy and formatted it to a single GPT partition. I copied over the data I needed and then powered down removed the bad drive and installed the new drive.
When I rebooted the BIOS sees the new drive but Windows, Disk Management, and DeviceManager do not. It is Windows 7 system.
I switched the SATA cables between my boot (C) drive and the new drive to see if it was a bad cable or onboard controller. In each case, Windows sees the C drive so its not a cable issue. If I take the drive out and plug it into the USB-3 external caddy (EZ-Dock 2) it reads it fine. However, plugged in as an internal drive the system can't see it.
Is this board capable of seeing a drive greater than 2 TB? I heard that the problem was that I formatted it outside of the computer so I bought another one and put it in the computer, expecting Windows to see it and I would format it normally. It didn't see that one either. Any idea what is going on?
DZ77BH-55K intel 7 series c216 chipset family sata ahci controller
Hello,
I recently received a replacement DZ77BH-55K board from Intel and have been having issues with the Intel Sata 3 (6GBs) ports not working with my new Sandisk Extreme pro SSD.
Firstly, I was unable to install Win7 onto my new SSD with it connected to the Marvel or Intel Sata 3 ports - the SSD either wasn't displayed or it wouldn't allow me to install Win7 to it. I anticipated this because this occurred on the board I have had replaced, so I simply fitted it to the INTEL Sata 2 port(s). Once installed, I played around with trying to boot with the SSD connected to the INTEL Sata 3 ports. It didn't matter whether it was port 0 or port 1, sometimes the SSD wasn't listed in BIOS and when it was, I received a Disk Read Error after the splash screen when it tried to boot.
The SSD boots successfully every time when it is connected to the Sata 2 ports. Sometimes, when I remove the intel 7 series c216 chipset family sata ahci controller driver whilst the SSD is in the Sata 2 port, reboot and allow windows to locate and re-install the controller, I shut the PC down, reattach the SSD cable to the INTEL Sata 3 port(s) and it boots successfully - but this is only when it feels like it. For example, it may boot and reboot (boot from restart) successfully all day, whilst connected to the INTEL Sata 3 port. But when I shut my PC down for the night and boot up again in the morning, the boot fails and I am forced to connect back to the Sata 2 port(s).
So I presume it is a drive issue. On the Intel download page for my mobo, there is no specific drive for the Intel 7 series C216 chipset family Sata AHCI controller. The current driver is version 9.3.0.1029 dated 25/07/2013. On the DZ77BH-55K drive page, there is nothing listed with that driver date, which is curious.
Incidentally, when the SSD is connected to the Marvel Sata 3 ports, even stranger things happen. Sometimes it takes an age to reach the splash screen, but boots successfully, sometimes it doesn't boot at all.
Also, the my SSD firmware is up to date, and there are no reported occurrences of this SSD having these issues. The curious thing is, when it does boot whilst connected to the Sata 3 port(s), it is actually a few seconds slower than with the SSD connected to the Sata 2 port(s).
This is now my third replacement board from Intel, so any help or advice in this matter would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
EDIT:
I have managed to update the AHCI driver using the latest RAID driver. Unfortunately, this has not resolved the problem, and now the SSD is not even detected by the BIOS when connected to the Intel Sata 3 ports. But the boot remains sucessful when connected to the Intel Sata 2 ports.
Intel DH55TC MoBo hangs at BIOS screen with POST code EB for 2 Minutes. Please Help!!!
Hi Fellas,
It's been a mess since I switched to LGA 1155 board as the motherboard takes 2 freaking minutes to load the OS. Following is the on screen process of this issue :-
1. As soon as I switch on the System Unit the BIOS screen pops up with Immediate POST code EB.
2. Gets Stuck for 2 Minutes.
3. Displays F2(BIOS) & F10(Boot Options) with Post Code 98
4. Displays POST code BA.
5. Loads The OS.
My PC Specs :-
I've been using a nVidia GeFore GT520 2GB DDR3 Graphics Card Since 4-5 Years on my LGA775 Board Dual Core Series (DG41TY) & it ran smoothly without any issues, Connected on this board as well.
8 GB RAM (2GB x 4 RAM SLOTS)
i3 530 CPU @ 2.93Ghz
320 GB Internal WD HDD
2TB WD External HDD 3.0
I Noticed when the system unit boots the external HDD LED flashes for a little more while than usual.
Please HELP me to fix this issue.
Immediate reply will be highly appreciated.
Can't start DG45ID after set memory timings to manual (800MHz)
Hello, I have a problem with my new DG45ID.
A few days ago i set the timings in the BIOS to manual 800Mhz and since then
the PC starts only for 2 seconds, shut down, 5-10 sec. later it starts again,
that restarting won't stopp until i remove the power cord.
I also removed the BIOS-Battery for over 30 hours and tried it again, but still the same problem.
When i put an other RAM (533MHz) into a slot, the Computer starts but beep 3 times (no memory installed).
I cannot do the BIOS recovery or something else.
Is there another way to reset the BIOS or should i send it back to the reseller?
Greetings from Austria (and sorry for my bad English)
Andrew
DX79SI Not booting to OS. Post error on screen shows 0_

DQ67SW (82579LM) LAN flapping when PC off
Hi,
I have a problem with a bunch of Intel DQ67SW motherboards. When the BIOS is updated to the latest (v0067) then the LAN port starts flapping its network connection on and off a few times every second when the PC is off (connected to mains and LAN, but not running OS - so can be WoL remotely).
Logs from the local HP switch:
I 04/30/15 12:39:50 ports: port 6 is Blocked by STP
I 04/30/15 12:39:52 ports: port 6 is now on-line

Eventually our local switch has enough and blocks the port.
I have tried various settings with the Windows drivers for energy efficient ethernet on and off, fixed 100MB/full duplex both ends but nothing seems to make a difference. The driver version also makes no difference (tried various ones from 17.3 to 19.1 latest).
At first I thought it was a hardware fault - but it is reproducible across 3 motherboards now.
I have not tried rolling back BIOS version by BIOS version to see when this behaviour started. It was not flapping with v0053.
When the PC is on it is fine and usually behaves normally. The PC is booted every morning but randomly (2 or 3 times a month) the LAN card will not connect with the local network.
The wiring has all been checked, tried different wall port - the problem follows the machine, tried different patch leads again the problem remains.
Any suggestions or pointers?
Thanks
Ian
