dh77kc does not recognize HighPoint RocketRaid 640 in PCIex4 slot

I cannot get the HighPoint RocketRaid 640 controller (a PCIe x4 card) to work in the PCIe x4 slot. It however works properly in the x16 slot. When in the x4 slot, sometimes the card is detected but most times it is not. The bios just does not show the card at all when it is not detected. The few times that it was detected, the bios showed it to be working at x1 mode. I have updated to the latest 108 bios but it has made no difference. I want to use my graphics card in the x16 slot and the RocketRaid in the x4 slot. Is this too much to ask from this motherboard?

BIOS Update DZ77GA-70K

I am still on BIOS 039 and tried to update today.  I tried several versions as I was advised to update in steps.  I tried updating with the .exe file through windows and everything flashes until it gets to the IME and that fails to flash repeatedly so the update fails.  (BTW, when I updated from the original BIOS to 039 the .exe update worked fine)  I then decided to do the F7 update with the .bio file but the computer does not find my thumb drive.  Does the drive have to be in a certain USB outlet for this to work?  Frustrating....

Thin ITX Board DQ77KB analog VGA support

Hi,

 

specifications for this board list only dp, lvds, hdmi as display interfaces, but I would need also analog VGA.

 

Does the board have the "dual mode interoperability" mode needed for the DP to VGA cable?

DH77KC integrated graphics doesn't work

I just bought a brand new DH77KC and am having issue with the integrated graphics. I have an I5-3470 quad core which supports the HD graphics.  Whenever I connect to the DVI or HDMI ports, the system either 1.) will show no video OR 2.) will spin the fans very briefly and then shut off again.  The odd thing is that when I reset BIOS default AND use a PCIe x16 graphics card, then the system will boot.  Once I get it booting, I only turn off power, remove the PCIe graphics card and then connect the monitor to the DVI port and turn power back on again.  But, the board never comes up?!!  I am getting VERY frustrated by this as I bought an Intel branded board because I thought it would be more reliable!

DZ77RE-75K - voltage regulator status LEDs

I recently bought a DZ77RE-75K MB and assembled a computer.

I see that the voltage regulator status LEDs are green and cycling (all LEDs come On and one by one goes off) in a series all the time.

Is this normal?

 

MB: DZ77RE-75K

CPU: core i7 3770K

Memory: 16GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz

HD: Samsung 840 series 256 GB SSD

PSU: Ultra 850W

DX79SI memory timing question

          My quest is a rather simple one involving the DX79SI mobo, is the G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Model F3-19200CL10Q-32GBZHD of 10-12-12-31 compatible with the aforementioned board.  I'm having perodic lock up when opening programs up in Windows 7 SP 1 64-bit.

DX48BT2 CPU Fan Suddenly Running at Top Speed

Hi folks.  The CPU fan on my DX48BT2 is suddenly running at top speed.  When in the bios setup, the hardware monitor says that CPU temperature is 0 degrees or, I am assuming very hot without any reserve.  The Intel Desktop Control Center says that the CPU delta T is 127 and the needle is pegged counterclockwise indicating a very low temperature.  The processor in the system is an Intel Core2 Extreme CPU X9970 @ 3.20 GHz and is running at about 8 percent load.

 

I've tried re-updating the bios and restoring every thing to optimum default in the bios.  Any idea where I can start looking for a solution?  Thanks in advance.

Intel Desktop Board DZ77GA-70K Version

Hi,

I am intending to buy this motherboard Intel Desktop Motherboard LGA1155 DDR3 1600 ATX - BOXDZ77GA-70K

from Amazon but I am not sure which version it is according the "Intel Product Change Notification 111509 - 01".

The old with the USB problem is G39009-401 and the new modified board is G39009-500.

 

I contacted Amazon and themselves don't know.

 

How can I make sure it is the new before buying.

Are all the boards sold in 2013 the new ones or not.

DG33FB PCIe x 16 - can a SAS card be used in this?

Hi,

 

I have acquired this motherboard,and have tested it with a windows install successfullly. Also updated the BIOS to the latest version.

 

The intention was to install a SAS card (LSI 1068e      LSI SAS1068E) which has been tested in a newer machine recently. When it's installed, the system does not boot at all, not into BIOS or the SAS card BIOS.

 

I suspect this is because the PCIe x 16 interface is only for video cards, but don't know for sure. Please help.

Edit: I tried pinging the network card after adding the SAS card in case the system had booted without any screen activity, but there was no reply so it is definitely not reaching the bios

dz68zv only boots with certain power supplies

hello,

i am pretty knowledgeable with computer hw/sw but this has me stumped;

i have a new dz68zv mb and some spare parts that i want to setup as my updated music collection rig (ripping/converting/file modifying via audacity)  ;

2500k cpu.

xfx 260gtx gpu.

2-4GB ripjaw dimms in the blue dual channel slots.

creative extreme gamer s.c.

small ocz vertex2 60GB ssd for o.s. / wd 640GB black for 380GB of music files.

 

that i initially thought was dead (hard cleared cmos/single dimm/ etc. etc.) but when i tried a different power supply it booted right up.

 

i flashed the latest bios and the board functions properly w/ w7 (i hate how intel tied o.c.'ing to speedstep but that is an issue that cannot be fixed).

turns out that this board will only work with certain power supplies, i only had 4 known working modern ps's at my disposal all are atx12v 2.2 w/8-pin /24 pin board connections and work in other modern intel chipset mb's.

2- corsair hx650w that allow the board to function normally.

1- power pc&cooling 750W silencer - onboard power button led lights up- on/off 1 sec. board acts like it is dead.

1- corsair tx520w- onboard power button led lights up- on/off 1 sec. board acts like it is dead.

 

only thing i can guess is bios based power saving/sleep/standby/wake issues that can only be fixed with a bios update.

a hard cleared cmos which forces settings to default should allow any quality modern power supply to function.

what am i missing?

Intel DX79SI Post Error 4F

Hi!

 

I was hoping someone could help me. I am running:

 

DX79SI (latest BIOS)

Xeon E5-1620

16GB 1600MHz Kingston HyperX RAM

700W Enermax PSU

 

When I turn the Board on, the post starts but once it has reached 4f, it just reboots. The CPU is installed correctly and the contacts are looking good to me. What could the Problem be?

entering bios screen when there are no specific keys specified

Intel mobo model D915GAV/D915PGN and/or E210882 installed in a NO NAME desktop which appears to be an HP clone. Same psu, memory, same sata drives, same mechanical design. Issue is that the "SPLASH" screen is INTEL,P4 INSIDE. NO F keys or any other key on the screen to use to enter bios. I want to experiment with different open source OS's. But I need to start the CDs from the BIOS screen just like a WINDOWS installation. These are LIVE CDs. I do not know if they will be read from the desktop like any installation cd. I NEED to know how to enter the bios so I can start the cd from there. What key(s) do I need/ This is literally a NO NAME computer. NO labels, or printed info anywhere, inside and out. Other than it looks like an HP design, I can not tell you if it actually is. The numbers are directly from the board. Solutions please. reeltroreelguy@gmail.com

DZ77BH and some problems (unknown device, Dolby, Intel Desktop)

Hello ,

 

I've a new dz77bh-55k with a xenon-CPU and after installing all software three problems:

 

  1. In the device manager there is an unknow device:
    PCI-Communicationscontroller (simple)
    VEN 8086
    DEV 1E3B
    SUBSYS 20408086
    Rev 04

  2. I installed from CD the Dolby Home Theater, after updating the audio driver to the newest one I got a message:
    Currently installed is version 7.2.8000.13 of the Dolby-Audiodriver. The Software needs driverversion 7.2.7000.7.

    I don't find a way to get the new DHT.
  3. From the Intel-CD I installed Intel Desktop Software Version 3-2-4-055
    I can start it, but it will stay searching for something. The tabs "Systeminformation", "Hardware-Monitor" and "Options" are grey, only Help is blue.

I use the newest driver, checked with Slimdrivers.

 

Where can I get the driver for the unknown device and a new DHT ?

 

Is Intel Desktop Software something like Speedfan ? If yes, then it doesn't matter with it, because I'm used to start Speefan every boot.

Hi,

 

tell me please, why does the board ignore the boot order below? 0001 (ubuntu) is set as default, but the board is always booting 0000 (windows).

dq77mk could not recognize the Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD when rebooting

Hi,

Has anyone run into the issue of rebooting Intel dq77mk with Samsung 840 Pro 256GB  SSD (MZ-7PD256BW) as the boot disk? The Win8 system can be booted from cold start. But when the system is rebooted without fully powered off, the Samsung840Pro256GB SSD could not be recognized as the boot disk, the system could not reboot.

 

The dq77mk board was updated with BIOS 0057, and Samsung SSD was updated with the latest firmware released on 12/13/2013 from

DZ77GA-70K Network Adapter disconnected upon waking

My system has recently started coming out of sleep mode with the 82579V network adapter disconnected, however inconstantly.

A dialog box indicated the network adapter has disconnected due to an error.

Other application dialog boxes complain that they cannot connect to the network.

 

Intel Driver Version is 12.2.45.0 from the latest ProWin7_64_18 upgrade.

 

Under Properties only the [allow computer to turn off this device to save power] is selected.

 

To temporarily get the network reconnected I go into Device Manager and Disable and re-Enable the network adapter
and all is well until wakes from sleep mode.

overclocking DX79TO

hi ,

i'm totally new with intel motherboards ,

would you please help me configuring my motherboard settings ?

i'm using 3930k , stock turbo boost is 3.5GHz if i'm not wrong ,

how can increase Turboboost from 3.5GHz to just 3.7Ghz

i don't want to overclock +4Ghz , just 100-200Mhz is enough . and i don't even want to overclock my Memory just cpu if it's ok !

each time i'm trying to overclock after 1 reboot it's gonna stock on Windows Logo ,

Here are my other System Parts if it's necessary to know ,

 

Antec Kuhler H2O 920 with extra fan Liquid Cooling System ( currently Idle temoerture is about 35C and Full load About 57C

Cooler Master PSU Silent Pro Gold 700 Watt

4x2gb Corsair XMS3 1600CL9 1.65v ( but on bios it automaticly detects it as 1333 and 1.5V) on blue DIMMs

4x2gb Corsair Dominator 1600CL9 ( this one too 1333 and 1.5V , and even on Cpu-z on SPD Dimms it's just shows one of my Domminator Memories but windows and bios detects Total 16Gb of RAM ) on black Dimms

Validity driver chipset

Hello !

 

The software Genius signals that my Intel drivers is not up to date. 

 

When I run the utility Intel detect, he answers that my actual Intel version 800 set chipset V 6.3.0.1007 is valid for my

Intel Desktop Board D845PESV ???

 

Does Génius invent false updates or doesn't Intel propose the good version ?
