DH61DL: BIOS shows "DH61BE" after update; PCIe/USB3 without function

$

After updating the BIOS of a DH61DL from version 0046 to 0099 and then from 0099 to 0109 the BIOS screen shows "DH61BE" in the top line. I guess, the update utility has indeed misrecognized the board and installed the wrong version, because now there are some problems:

- The network card in the PCIe slot is no longer recognized by the OS (W7); the BIOS says "Not Populated", but nevertheless shows vendor and device ID in the next line.

- The USB3 ports are missing, the BIOS graphic shows only "*" instead of numbers.

Also the number allocation of the USB2 ports is incorrect and an ESATA port is shown.

I tried to downgrade at least back to version 0099, but all available methods failed; installing version 0109 again brings no changes.

How can i get this board to work correctly again?;

DH77EB no sound to headset (front or back)

I recently got a new pc with a DH77EB motherboard.   The problem I'm having is when connecting a headset (to the front or rear ports) I don't get any audio transferred via it.   I've reloaded several versions of Realtek audio drivers, updated the BIOS to the latest version (audio is enabled in the BIOS), played around with all the sound settings (so yes all the basics were covered), but still nothing.

When I connect or disconnect the headset plugs I get the notification area message saying a device was added/removed, so from that I take it the ports are working.   In the Realtek audio manager I've played around with all kinds of settings, but to no avail.  The interesting thing is that when I play something I can see the green lights displaying some sort of activity or output next to the speaker device under playback devices, so everything looks right, but no sound gets out.   The headset works on other devices and I also tried other headsets on the pc, but they also give no sound output.

Anyone had this before or know what might be the issue?   I'm leaning towards a fault on the motherboard, but want to eliminate all other possibilities.

Thank you very much

PS/2 Keyboard not working in Windows7 after BIOS update but works in linux

Hi,

    My system specs: i5-2320

           Motherboard:  Dh61WW

          RAM:  4 GB

I recently updated my Bios from 0048 to 0099. After update my pc dint start (many users had problem of boot failure after update to 0099). So then i updated it to 0109. Pc now works but since then my PS/2 Keyboard is not working partially.Tried updating to 0111 and 0113(latest at present) but still problem is same

When I start Pc, I can enter Bios menu by pressing the key, but once Bios opens, I cannot use my keyboard (surprisingly, usb mouse works in bios, vich, before update dint used to work.). Same with boot sequence menu,i can enter but cannot select nething as keyboard stops working. If I dont enter Bios or boot menu, I come to a screen where i ve to select the os vich i want to start (I ve windows 7 and ubuntu dual boot options) I can use keyboard to select an option i.e keyboard works at this point. If i go to ubuntu, keyboard works perfectly fine. But if i select windows 7, Keyboard stops working. In device manager, the keyboard option isnt seen only..

if i update Bios, Keyboard will work when it restarts 1st time after bios update, but if I shut down or restart again, It wont work. So,if i want to use a keyboard, I ve to update bios everytime i start pc( doesnt matter even if i install same version of bios).

Also, I tried resetting bios configuration via battery removal, jumper reset method but dint help. Installing windows 7 or windows 8 doesnt work.I already tried it.

Jus after I updated bios, keyboard was detected in bios (pic attached)

kb aftr bios update.jpg

But after I restarted pc, Keyboard is not detected (pic).. As u can c, der is no Keyboard detected in device manager.

kb aftr restart.jpg

Sometimes I get such msg (pic) but if i select "restart now", again same problem occurs.

I tried resetting bios configuration via battery removal, jumper reset method but dint help. Installing windows 7 or windows 8 doesnt work.I already tried it.

Please help me to solve this problem.. Thanx in advance.

DZ77RE-75K Bios Update (no video)

Just bought this board and updated the bios before doing anything.

I just updated my bios to the latest version by downloading it, putting it on a thumb drive and pressing f7 during startup.  It said it finished successfully, but then when it rebooted it got stuck on code 12 and refused to show any video.

What should I do?  I can't even get into the bios.

Thanks

Can't start DG45ID after set memory timings to manual (800MHz)

Hello, I have a problem with my new DG45ID.

A few days ago i set the timings in the BIOS to manual 800Mhz and since then

the PC starts only for 2 seconds, shut down, 5-10 sec. later it starts again,

that restarting won't stopp until i remove the power cord.

I also removed the BIOS-Battery for over 30 hours and tried it again, but still the same problem.

When i put an other RAM (533MHz) into a slot, the Computer starts but beep 3 times (no memory installed).

I cannot do the BIOS recovery or something else.

Is there another way to reset the BIOS or should i send it back to the reseller?

Greetings from Austria (and sorry for my bad English)

Andrew

DQ77MK mobo hangs on startup with USB 3.0 device connected

$

SYSTEM:  Running clean install of Win7 Pro 64-bit on a new Intel DQ77MK mobo with 32GB of installed and recognized 1333 DDR3 Corsair RAM.  Boot drive is Samsung 840 Pro SSD, with additional WD Black SATA 6 HDD's for data, etc.  Radeon HD 6670 (2GB) video card installed and drivers properly recognized by the OS.  All mobo drivers successfully installed via the Intel factory supplied disc, and all USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports are recognized & functioning "properly".  My BIOS ver. is "0054", but I have not updated to the latest "0058" simply because the release notes don't appear to address this PROBLEM in any way.

PROBLEM: IF I have an external drive plugged into any USB 3.0 port (front or rear panel) the system will hang at the opening Intel splash screen, on restarts or cold boots.  Unplugging the external USB 3 drive allows the system to (re)start and boot into OS perfectly.  I've already set boot priority to place internal C-drive as first boot device ... no fix.  I've disabled "boot from USB" option in BIOS ... no fix.  Further, it doesn't appear to matter what brand or size of external USB 3 drive is plugged into the system, as I experience the same problem with several different manufacturer's drives.  I have seen MANY similar problems posted on the internet associated with different brands of mobo's and different brands of devices / controllers ... yet I have NOT seen any definitive FIX to the problem.  The suggestion of disabling USB Legacy Support is unacceptable and would leave me with no USB KB or mouse at startup ... and this suggestion has yet to be proven effective.  The suggestion to simply wait until after you boot the computer to plug in the external drive is also unacceptable.  DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A REAL SOLUTION to this problem?

Any thoughts or constructive comments would be most appreciated.  - Dan (dnseibold@cbs.com)

Each module, installed alone, works well.

i7 processor for PCI-E 3.0 on socket2011... (exist?) or not?

$

Now, at this point I do not know how do... but this is the only place where I can receive a support for i7 technical info.

I going to purchase this motherboard by ASROCK, model "extreme11" with all info. about in this page: http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/X79%20Extreme11 ...But, noticed to in the "Next-Gen PCI-E 3.0 Support" this NOTE:

"PCI-E 3.0 requires both a supporting CPU and motherboard at the same time.

Currently Intel® Socket 2011 Sandy Bridge-E Processor doesn’t support PCI-E 3.0, but this motherboard is already PCI-E 3.0 hardware ready.

It depends on Intel® CPU to enable PCI-E 3.0. Please check Intel® website for information on future CPU updates and releases."

Now, what this mean? I can't use this PC because DO NOT EXIST any processor by INTEL for socket2011 to can be supported on this motherboar?

I was ready to but one of those... but NO ONE is supported for this motherboard?

Intel® Core™ i7-3960X Processor Extreme Edition (15M Cache, from 3.30 to 3.90 GHz)

http://ark.intel.com/products/63696

Intel® Core™ i7-3820 Processor (10M Cache, from 3.60 to 3.80 GHz)

http://ark.intel.com/products/63698

Intel® Core™ i7-3930K Processor (12M Cache, from 3.20 to 3.80 GHz)

http://ark.intel.com/products/63697

OMG... I just hope this is not true, because this will be a really strange thing... hope in a detailed info. about what (if exist) processor i7 (good) without OC, because not want to do... are supported by this motherboard, of course PCI-E 3.0

Thanks.

DZ77BH and some problems (unknown device, Dolby, Intel Desktop)

Hello ,

I've a new dz77bh-55k with a xenon-CPU and after installing all software three problems:

  1. In the device manager there is an unknow device:
    PCI-Communicationscontroller (simple)
    VEN 8086
    DEV 1E3B
    SUBSYS 20408086
    Rev 04

  2. I installed from CD the Dolby Home Theater, after updating the audio driver to the newest one I got a message:
Currently installed is version 7.2.8000.13 of the Dolby-Audiodriver. The Software needs driverversion 7.2.7000.7.

I don't find a way to get the new DHT.
  3. From the Intel-CD I installed Intel Desktop Software Version 3-2-4-055
I can start it, but it will stay searching for something. The tabs "Systeminformation", "Hardware-Monitor" and "Options" are grey, only Help is blue.

I use the newest driver, checked with Slimdrivers.

Where can I get the driver for the unknown device and a new DHT ?

Is Intel Desktop Software something like Speedfan ? If yes, then it doesn't matter with it, because I'm used to start Speefan every boot.

Thanks for any tipps.

Best regards from Germany

Periodically getting "network cable unplugged" error on DZ77GA-70K after booting.

$

Every so often when I boot my computer after a shutdown get the network cable unplugged notification on the primary LAN port (82579V) even though the cable is still fine. This only happens when the computer first starts and can be addressed by either unplug/replugging the cable or disable/reenabling the network adapter. It will then work perfect for the duration of the computer being on, and might even be fine after my next shutdown and fresh boot. It seems completely random.

I thought it might have been a problem with Fastboot on Windows 8 causing some kind of issue with the device, but even with that disabled it still occurs. It has happened off and on since I got the motherboard, through multiple bios/lan driver versions (currently 0064 and 18.0.1.0). This is little more than a minor annoyance every now and then, but it still shouldn't happen.

Has anyone else experienced something like this with this board or any similar to it?

DQ77KB 3D model

Hi Intel guys,

I work for small company, which develops forensic and data recovery equipment

on the basis of Intel motherboards. Previously we successfully used

D945GCLF, D510MO, D525MW, DQ67EP boards in our products.

And our recent project is considered to be built  around DQ77KB motherboard.

Please advise, how can I have 3D model of the DQ77KB board to aid device case design?

Any wide-known format would be acceptable, for instance STEP, IGES, SAT, STL.

I saw the model in Technical Product Specification PDF, but unfortunately

fellow engineer could not export it from there.

Thank you.

Andrew
