dq77mk could not recognize the Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD when rebooting

Hi,

Has anyone run into the issue of rebooting Intel dq77mk with Samsung 840 Pro 256GB  SSD (MZ-7PD256BW) as the boot disk? The Win8 system can be booted from cold start. But when the system is rebooted without fully powered off, the Samsung840Pro256GB SSD could not be recognized as the boot disk, the system could not reboot.

The dq77mk board was updated with BIOS 0057, and Samsung SSD was updated with the latest firmware released on 12/13/2013 from

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/MZ-7PD256BW

Appreciate if anyone can share the experience on this.

Thank you.

DP67BG - Latest LAN Driver version 16.4 - Help

I just installed the latest LAN driver, version 16.4, that was just posted on 7/27/2011.  Can someone else confirm if they are seeing version 16.4 under "Programs and Features"?  Even though I completely removed the previous version of the LAN driver, version 16.3, when I look under "Programs and Features" it shows the latest LAN driver as version 16.3.48.0.  I thought it would show 16.4?  Also under Device Manager, when I go and look at the driver version properites for the network adpater, it shows the driver having a date of 5/4/2011.  That seems really old for a driver that was just posted on 7/27/2011.  Is this the correct driver for version 16.4?

Memory problems with new DZ77BH-55K

I finally got all of my parts and completed the build and when I turned the computer on I heard 3 beeps (memory problem) and a 32 error code. I got the computer to boot by switching the memory around and by using only one at a time, but only with 2 of the 4 memory modules. They will only work in the "B" channel, on Dimm 4 and 2. I can have one in Dimm 4, one in Dimm 2, or one in both. As soon as I add a module to Dimm 1 and/or 3, I get the 3 beep memory problem error and the computer will not boot. I even bought another memory module from the store (different manufacturer) to be sure. I've updated the motherboard bios to the most current version (BHZ7710H.86A.0070.2012.0416.2117) but still have the same problem. The memory also showed up as 1333 MHz in the bios, but I was able to change it to 1600MHz with no problems.

Here's the specs:

Motherboard: DZ77BH-55K

CPU: Core i7-3770 3.4 GHz

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 X 4GB) 240-pin DDR3 SDRAM 1600MHz (PC3 12800) Model CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9

GPU: Nvidia GTX 560 2GB PCI Express 2.0 X 16

Please let me know if you have any suggestions or are having the same problem, so we can find a solution. I really hope it's not a defective board, because I would hate to unplug everything, ship it back and wait for the new one to come.

Anyone else tried the 0104 BIOS? Seems to disable the onboard LAN port. Even when the port is checked in the settings. Downgraded to 0102 which works, upgraded to 0103 which also works. PCH temp still zero in all BIOS versions.

DZ77BH-55K Bios update 0097; CPU HOT

After updating my DZ77BH-55K from Bios 0057 to 0097, I have a no post situation.  The CPU_HOT light on the board is RED and the computer just BEEPS.  This update worked on 1 other computer but has failed on 2 others I have tried.

CPU: i7-3770

RAM: G.Skill F3-12800CL10Q-32GBZL   (4x8GB)

I would like a real solution since I have 13 of these boards and am getting random bluescreens, I believe due to an issue fixed in BIOS 0096 "-Fixed issue where memory voltage is too low."  I need to not RMA all the boards when this update fails.

Thanks.

Hi!

I boughtd2700mud anditdoesn't start.

LED "standby" is work, but motherboard does not outputthe signal on display.

Display connection in VGA output.

I have two power supply.

If i connect the first, heard three beeps. First power supply doesn't have 2x2 connector for power jack (it is ok).

If i connect the second, there is nothing (no picture).

How to solve this problem?

P.S.

My English is very bad so i duplicates text on Russian.

Front panel pins

Hi, I accidentally unplugged the four cables which make up the Front panel range of pins and don't know the order to put them back in. I went to this website http://downloadmirror.intel.com/15991/eng/DG45ID_ProductGuide01_English.pdf and it tells you stuff under Front Panel Header but I still can't seem to get them in the right order. There's also a color label in the computer case but what it does not show is where the white cable of each pair should go. Can anyone help. I can't turn my computer back on.

DQ77MK problem with RAID Controllers?

$

Hi,

I tried to setup a MegaRAID SAS 9265-8i controller on a new DQ77MK Board.

The problem is that I cannot enter the configuration screen (Ctrl-R) and the Controller does not show up as boot device.

I noticed the following:

1. The Main Bios Screen with the Blue White Background (and Press F2 to enter BIOS etc) is shown a lot longer since i plugged in the RAID Controller.

2. Then the RAID Controller messages are shown and the controller does react to the Ctrl-R press by showing "Please Wait..." but then the PC stops responding (still showing the blinking cursor). Alt-Ctrl-Del does not reset it. I have to use the reset button.

3. If I do not try to go into the RAID Controller configuration screen then the Main Bios screen (blue/white as above) flashes again briefly and then tries to boot the configured boot devices (the RAID Controller is not a shown / known boot device).

I tried to set some BIOS options such as "Boot Display Options"->"Expansion Card Text" set to "Enable" (as well as the default "Disable" and the "Hide All") and also tried with and without UEFI enabled but saw no change.

I do not have a RAID array configured at the moment so i do not know if it would try to boot from it but simply does not show the controller in the BIOS.

I am using the integrated Graphics of the I7-3770 that I am using.

Can someone please try a raid controller on this board and let me know if it works? (Shows up in BIOS and Can enter Configuration Screen)

Thanks & best regards!

Edit:

I now also tried a PERC 6/i Raid Controller. I can also not get into the controller configuration screen (hangs as with the other). Notable difference is that after power on it immediately shows the controller messages (firmware initializing etc) and then goes to the bios screen.

motherboard that supports Q8300

I'm trying to build a computer on a shoestring budget that I can install MS Small Business Server 2011 Standard Edition on. I already have a Q8300 processor so I'm looking for a board that will support this processor (LGA775) as well as 32GB RAM and a 64 Bit OS. I know that none of the current Intel boards fit these requirements but does anybody know of any board that would?

Thanks in advance

USB2 problem - G41 Express

$

I have this issue with a Dell Optiplex 380 running Windows7 SP1. BIOS updated to A07. Latest Dell drivers installed, Intel chipset update utility run.

USB1 devices work fine in all ports (mouse, keyboard, webcam, unpowered hub), USB2 devices (memory sticks, external HD) give a 'USB Device not recognized' message and install as Unknown devices.

If after plugging in a USB stick I go into Device Manager, go to View > Devices by Connection and open the tree down to  Intel(R) N10/ICH7 Family USB2 Enhanced Host Controller - 27CC > USB Hub > Unknown device, then uninstall the USB Hub, I immediately get a popup saying 'This device can perform faster if connected to a USB2 port'. I can then access the stick contents normally. I can also use any other USB stick or HD in any other USB port

This only works until the computer is shut down, on a restart Windows detects USB Root Hubs and installs Device Drivers, and I'm back to the USB Device not recognised scenario again, when plugging in a USB stick.

Disabling the USB2 Enhanced Host Controller results in USB memory sticks and HDs working - except that I get the 'This device can perform faster...' popup.

Suggestions on how to fix this would be very welcome!

D2500CC wake on LAN problem.

Hi,

I try to setup wake on LAN on D2500CC  board, but without any success.

After switching off the computer the Link/Activity and Link Speed LEDs switch off, next the Link/Activity LED switch on and after one, two seconds switch off.

At a time when Link/Activity LED is on I can wake up the computer sending to it the wake up package.

I tested PS/2 wake up too.  It also work for only a few seconds after the computer is turned off.

Also the RTC alarm event not wake up the computer.

I checked a voltage on +5Vstby power supply  pin and it is correct.

The +5V Standby Power Indicator LED is always on.

I tested two D2500CC boards and two different ATX power supplies. I updated the BIOS to the latest version.

Both boards are from the 2013.

Best regards,

Andrzej.

DH77DF unable to boot

$

Hello!

I'm working on building a system with the following components:

Intel i7-3770S Ivy Bridge 3.1GHz (3,9 GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 65W Processor

Intel DH77DF Motherboard

Kingston HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM 1600 (PC3 12800) (model KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX) RAM

Intel 520 Series Cherryville 2.5" 180GB SATA 3 SSD

Samsung Slim DVD Optical Drive

Antec ISK 300-150 Black Mini-ITX Case

The system is in a minimal configuration with the power supply connected and the processor installed.  I have no RAM installed since I'm hoping it will at least beep to give a memory error, but I haven't had it beep yet.  When powered on, the CPU fan starts, but there is no video (I've tried both DVI and HDMI cables) and no sounds.

The manufacturing date per the motherboard box was 27MAY2012.  I think the BIOS may be out of date for the processor and/or memory.  I've cleared the CMOS and tried flashing several times with the 69, 95, and 104 BIOS release using the recovery process (USB stick drive with .BIO image, BIOS jumper removed).  Each time the system eventually powers down on its own, but I'm still not convinced the flash was successful.

Here are my questions:

1) Does the RAM need to be installed when flashing the BIOS via the USB stick drive?

2) Does the USB stick need to be formatted in any particular format (e.g. FAT32)?

3) Any other ideas on why the system won't boot or steps I could try to debug?

Please let me know if any additional details would help.

Thanks in advance!

VT-d on DH55HC with a supported processor

I have DH55HC desktop board. Would VT-d work (i.e. enabled and configured by BIOS) if I install a CPU which supports VT-d ?

E.g., i5-650 is declared to support VT-d.
