Need a new IO shield for Intel Dx79si Motherboard
This is an older motherboard, making it hard for me to obtain this IO shield. Is there any place I can get one?
Bios Question
I currently purchased a Desktop Board DB75EN.
I Have Dual Boot UEFI Windows 7 Pro and Windows 8.1 Pro.
I recently updated the bios and now windows seven when selected boots to the start up screen and then the keyboard stops responding and it continuously stays on that screen.
If I go into the bios I can select legacy and it will boot into Windows 7. I have tried start up repair on both OS's they I have completed the repairs. Then the system reboots.
Then if I select UEFI and disable the legacy (the reason I disable legacy is as the boot screen appears it does not scale correctly on boot).
Short of re- installing Windows 7 I was trying to find out if I can revert to my previous Bios... I could not find anything for or against trying this with
DQ57TM revision question
We have some systems that use DQ57TM motherboards. One is AAE70931-303, some are -400 and some are -401.
Is there anything out there that explains what was changed or fixed between revisions? The reason I ask is the -303 board is having random BSOD Memory_Management issues using two Kingston 2GB RAM sticks (Kingston part# 9905458-012.A00LF). The systems that are -400 and -401 don't have issues with that model of RAM, and I moved the ones from the -303 board to a completely different system and they work fine.
Was there something changed between the -303 revision and the -400 revision that stabilizes RAM? I'm trying to determine if the board is bad or if it was just RAM incompatibilty.
Thanks.
DH61DL question
The DH61DL motherboard says after a certain BIOS revision that it will work with Ivy Bridge processors. All of the ones we have are using the latest BIOS (version 120, the latest from Intel's site). If I put an i3-3220 in one of these motherboards with DDR3-1600 RAM will the board use the memory at the faster speed or will it still limit it to DDR3-1333 speeds?
The DX79TO "I cannot F2 to bios or F10 boot Menu BUG!!!!"
Well, it seams that I have got this again! I cannot access the BIOS with F2 or any other way! Nor can I access the Boot Menu! I was able to re-flash the bios (650) back to (650)
I had this problem before for like 2 days I don't know what I did to fix it, but it was running really slow and almost all the memory was reserved! Then on a reboot it was just fine/!?!!?!?!??!!?
I could not access the BIOS with F2 or the Boot Menu with F10. The Bios jumper doesn't do anything ( but did work when I took it all the way out. and continuously hit the F7
with flash drive attached! and I re-flashed the same bios hoping that the NVram would clear. ha the battery out even and it updated! after it said reboot I put jumper back and the battery back
still the same :-( I am on my 4th day of no computer. I have done all of the recommendations such as remove all but one piece of Ram, took sound card out, reseated the video card
So please can somebody give Me a little help or advise? Thank You in advance!

Best BIOS to revert to for DQ87PG? Having all sorts of boot issues.
is just one example I run into. We have hundreds of these PCs in classrooms and we also see the single boot device listed issue as mentioned in the forums.
I did try 153, with the same results. I was hoping that, if after two years, they updated the BIOS, there must be a good fix, but it didn't take care of the issue.
So, does anyone have a recommendation on which BIOS to go back to? I was think 148 or one of the 130s (I think you can't back further than one of the 130 BIOSes, but I can't remember which).
Keep in mind this has nothing to do with the OS, as much as I tried to explain to the person in the above linked topic. I am trying to boot to a USB, whether it be our MDT drives or UBCD on USB, they work on DQ45s through DQ77s and the ASUS boards we've been using since Intel shutdown their desktop boards. This should also tell you it's not an issue with the drives.
Populating Asset Tag Information
OK, so as I understand it, I can use the Intel Integrator Toolkit and/or Assistant to enter asset tags, but I can't seem to find much information on what I'm doing wrong.
I would like to update the BIOS with my preferred settings. I have figured out how to create a custom BIO file, but I can't figure out how to do the asset part.
I used the ITK to create my custom bio file and as far as I can tell, setup the custom ini file, but on the DQ35JO I have a I get an error about the board not supporting no reboot.
Can anyone point me ion the right direction? I would eventually like to do out newer boards (DQ47s through DQ77s) but these are the primary ones I'm working with right now.
How to update Asset information on EOL boards?
I've got a few DQ77MK & DQ87PG boards that have missing or incorrect Asset information in the BIOS.
Problem 1) The latest Intel Integrator Toolkit (6.1.6) says you need to boot to the UEFI shell, but as far as I can tell, the DQ77MK doesn't have one. I have 4.0.3.280 which requires .itk files, which are not available for this board. Is there a version available for this one?
Problem 2) The DQ87 does, but when I use the only available ITK (6.1.6), the command line seems to change the information (I went through and changed each item to be sure and it shows in the itek6 -s -p) but the ASSET doesn't register in MDT. Could this because it's the wrong version of the Toolkit? If so, where can I get the appropriate version?

Just purchased a DZ77BH-55K M.B. (discontinued but read the z77 runs XP) . I can't boot to the install CD on two different computers, (but other CDs do boot).
PLEASE, how can I load the drivers by using another method. I've copied the CD files to a thumb drive. Can I use a Windows Restore function to reach the drivers -- or WinPE or ???

Intel DX58SO2 socket b & modern graphic cards: Radeon Rx560 etc
Hello everyone ! I have been struggling to get a Sapphire RX560 4GB working with this board -DX58SO2- but I have no luck so far; it seems it cant recognize it.
On my first install of the card with a legacy bios I couldnt even get the system to post. The famous no post, no beep, no signal whatsoever issue that drives people
crazy.
I used the old card again (Radeon 7770 Ghz edition) and flashed the latest 920 bios version from windows. Then tried again and my-oh my- the system boots ! I log to windows normally but the card was identified only as Standard Vga. I say no biggie, lets update the drivers . Next step : Install Raddeon drivers, being super excited that my i7-920 rig will continue to triumph for a few more years , being prompted by the system to reboot...aaand BLACK SCREEN.
Once system enters Windows7, black screen and signal goes off. Computer is still running though, you can still hear all the Windows 7 sounds. No matter what I do, the result always the same,
black screen whilst windows still running. I can only enter windows 7 in safe mode, where the RX560 is listed as Standard Vga.
So has anyone else tried with newer graphic cards ? Is it a drivers issue ? Is it an incompatibility issue because of the old motherboard ?
Am I the only one still struggling on a DX58SO2 ?
Some useful information : I have an UEFI install of Windows 7 and 16gb of RAM (4x4) installed. I also tried with legacy on another volume & a clean install, same results : Black Screen when Win7 loads.
Intel dz68BC not posting showing 00
dear community,
to some reason I don't know why my pc was freezing whenever I played games or do some work even sometimes it froze while doing nothing so I read somewhere about the bios issue and to update it therefore I decided to update using Intel express bios update but it froze during the last second of the bios update so I waited for an hour then I restarted my PC but in turn it would not turn on and the post code was stuck at 00 also the bios LEDs were not lighting , therefore I run a troubleshoot diagnostic using Intel site and did everything that they said like checking cables, removing ram replacing ram. therefore I tried to turn on the pc without ram sticks and there was no beepcode no posting just stick at 00 and no beep message nothing.please help
