DZ87KLT-75K USB 3.0 Driver problems. Help?

Hi, I'm not the best at explaining things so please bare with me .

I have an Intel DZ87KLT-75K motherboard which has support for additional USB3.0 ports (obviously) and I have a CoolerMaster HAF X case, which has 2x USB3.0 ports on the front. I have them plugged straight into the correct spot on the motherboard (the blue 20-pin? port), they work all well and good without the USB3.0 drivers but only at USB2.0 speeds (obviously) that's no issue. But when I install the USB3.0 drivers for my board and OS: win7 64-bit this one- (Download Center) they work at full USB3.0 speeds, however, when I have a device plugged into them, there is no option to safely remove the device. It has completely disappeared as though the device is not removable. This is ONLY when the USB3.0 driver are installed. And ONLY with the 2x front USB3.0 ports on the case. All other USB3.0/USB2.0 ports work flawlessly. I have tried using third party safely remove tools, still the devices don't show. Happens with both flash drives and portable HDDs. I tried a fresh installation of Windows, still does the same thing. Took me a while to figure out but after long hours spent of trial and error I have decided it's definitely something to do with the driver itself. I've played around with the settings in device manager/BIOS, still doesn't seem to have an option regarding safely removing media. At first I thought maybe it was a feature of the driver and it just didn't need to be done but after only a few days of using no safely remove and just yanking the drives out after use, I had corrupt data, missing files etc. Maybe there is an option somewhere I have missed that needs to be changed? I don't know.

I have googled so many times and looked all over forums to see if anyone is experiencing the same problem and I cant seem to find any info on this exact problem anywhere so here I am seeking any advice/help to overcome my issue.

If I have left out any vital information that may help please let me know, greatly appreciate any help that may be provided

Thanks.

DH67CF

Hi,

Is the DH67CF ITX motherboard able to supply power to the USB devices in S5 state (full power off).I have FLIRC-SE and can only power down.

Many thanks.

DZ68DB board can see drives bigger than 2 TB?

I have a computer with a DZ68DB board.

drive (D)  was going bad so I bought a 5 TB Toshiba drive to replace it. I plugged it into an external caddy and formatted it to a single GPT partition. I copied over the data I needed and then powered down removed the bad drive and installed the new drive.

When I rebooted the BIOS sees the new drive but Windows, Disk Management, and DeviceManagerImage may be NSFW.

do not. It is Windows 7 system.

I switched the SATA cables between my boot (C)  drive and the new drive to see if it was a bad cable or onboard controller. In each case, Windows sees the C drive so its not a cable issue. If I take the drive out and plug it into the USB-3 external caddy (EZ-Dock 2) it reads it fine. However, plugged in as an internal drive the system can't see it.

Is this board capable of seeing a drive greater than 2 TB? I heard that the problem was that I formatted it outside of the computer so I bought another one and put it in the computer, expecting Windows to see it and I would format it normally. It didn't see that one either. Any idea what is going on?

DX79SI Hang at POST Code 58

My DX79SI hangs with a POST code of 58.

Problem Details:

  • I updated the BIOS a few weeks ago to the latest (I can't tell you the BIOS version because I can't boot my system). The system's been rebooted a few times since I updated the BIOS.
  • When I rebooted my system today, I first got stuck at POST 9B. After unplugging and plugging back in various USB mice, eventually the BIOS decided to get stuck on POST 58.
  • I tried using the Back to BIOS button but it had no apparent effect. So, I moved the BIOS jumper to "configuration" and rebooted.
  • Now, I get the BIOS splash screen (with the extra, redundant Intel logo) and the number "58" at the lower right. There is no other text on the screen. There the computer sits for several minutes. (Several minutes == >5 minutes). After that, I get a black screen with a flashing cursor in the upper-left corner. And it's still there after 10 minutes...

Hardware Details:

  • 32GB XMP memory
  • Nvidia GeForce 670
  • Various USB peripherals
  • Three SATA drives

My question is: How can I get my system working again? Is it time to ask for an RMA? Thank you.

DX79SI and usb 3.0 problems

After much diagnostic mucking I realize my portable drive problems are due to the USB 3.0 ports on this motherboard. It seems all the prior threads on DX79SI USB 3.0 problems die around the beginning of 2013 with no solution. I am having all the problems mentioned in previous posts, in particular:

1) boot hanging for 20 seconds on "58"

2) if I leave my WD Elements or Passport drive plugged in to USB 3.0 port (front or rear) when I reboot I get a yellow bang in Device manager for the USB 3.0 controller with the error message "device cannot start". Uninstalling the device and scanning for hardware changes fixes it.

If I use the USB 2.0 port....no problems at all just slower speed of course.

I have tried BIOS 525 (which says fixes the problem), 537 (just because I had it) and 594. No difference. I have the latest 2.1.28.1 Renesas drivers.

This problem has been around for years has anyone ever fixed it? (without buying a new USB 3.0 card!).

DX79SI, 3820 processor

16 Gb RAM

Windows 7 Pro x64

WD drives are the only USB 3.0 devices.

Thanks,

Matt

DX79SI - Poor USB3.0 & LAN driver support

I'm having major issues with the USB3.0 driver support for the DX79SI, and it looks to be interfering with the “Intel 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection”.

The system frequently hangs when loading Windows 7.  Once I finally get it to load successfully, I notice that the “Intel 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection” was not able to start successfully.  Also, an extra “Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller” device appears under “Universal Serial Bus controllers”.  That leaves 2 USB 3.0 Host Controllers & 1 Hub in Device Manager when I only remember 1 of each with a fresh install.

Intel, I’d be happy to provide any additional info you need about my set-up.  The only new components in this system are the motherboard and processor.  This issue happens with previous and fresh installs of Windows 7 x64.

DH55TC (nur) only Channel B 0+1 (nutzbar) usable ?

For Translation scroll down please.

Hallo,

ich habe hier das Mainboard:
DH55TC

Danke

Hello ,

I have the motherboard :
DH55TC
the CPU i3 530th

Once I put a 0 or 1 memory module in Channel A , the board will not boot .

There is no beep codes .
The CPU fan comes on , turns a few seconds , shuts down again , goes online again , in an endless loop , etc.
I have to turn off the Board through the AC adapter .

With two tested RAMs from the Intel website at Channel A0 and B0 Channel ( blue sockets ) goes to the board , a picture , after a short time the fan turns also in full swing.

In Channel B 0 + 1 ( blue + black ) two memory modules running 2GB ewinwandfrei in Single mode .

Have to test so easily win 8.1 Enterprise installed .

The BIOS is up to date.

Why is that?

Board or CPU failures?

Thank you

DQ67SW (82579LM) LAN flapping when PC off

Hi,

I have a problem with a bunch of Intel DQ67SW motherboards. When the BIOS is updated to the latest (v0067) then the LAN port starts flapping its network connection on and off a few times every second when the PC is off (connected to mains and LAN, but not running OS - so can be WoL remotely).

Logs from the local HP switch:

I 04/30/15 12:39:50 ports: port 6 is Blocked by STP

I 04/30/15 12:39:52 ports: port 6 is now on-line

I 04/30/15 12:41:15 ports: port 6 is Blocked by STP

Eventually our local switch has enough and blocks the port.

I have tried various settings with the Windows drivers for energy efficient ethernet on and off, fixed 100MB/full duplex both ends but nothing seems to make a difference. The driver version also makes no difference (tried various ones from 17.3 to 19.1 latest).

At first I thought it was a hardware fault - but it is reproducible across 3 motherboards now.

I have not tried rolling back BIOS version by BIOS version to see when this behaviour started. It was not flapping with v0053.

When the PC is on it is fine and usually behaves normally. The PC is booted every morning but randomly (2 or 3 times a month) the LAN card will not connect with the local network.

The wiring has all been checked, tried different wall port - the problem follows the machine, tried different patch leads again the problem remains.

Any suggestions or pointers?

Thanks

Ian

DH61CR, after bios update, fails to boot

Hi everyone,

I have a pc with DH61CR motherboard, i5-2400, 4GB of RAM. Decided to update bios. Working bios was form year 2010. Express bios flash failed few times, with newest, and few earlier vesions. Decided to flash to next version after curent, working one. Success. Then I flashed one, from Dec 2012. Success. Bios looks different, mouse cursor, etc. Nice... The problem is, that it freezes in first BIOS window, showing Intel logo. If i press F10, i get boot devices list, but after selecting anything, it freezes, only reset helps. Bios update with F7 does not do nothing. Tried resetting BIOS, changing RAM, even CPU, without graphics card - the same. Tried BIOS recovery mode by removing jumper - no image, just cycling between on and off. Is there a way to revive motherboard? I have experience of 10 years of fixing similar issues, but I think only way now is RMA it. Any advice is very welcomed, thanks.

Still no fixed BIOS for DZ68BC

Alright,

It has been a while since Intel released the infamous 0035 BIOS for DZ68BC board.

I have not been able to use my desktop at all. Is it really taking so long? There is plenty of affected customers waiting for a solution.

Obviously Ivy Bridge CPUs are working fine with this BIOS since I have not heard any complaints. BUT all Sandy Bridge users are getting more or less BSODs. Many of the cases even with default BIOS settings and Turbo Boost disabled, like myself.

I am not going to RMA my board because I hate to rip off all the components and cables that I assembled so beautifully (Yeah, it is a custom PC that took almost 3 months to build and sleeve the cables etc)

If nothing happens in next two months, I have to violate my rig and replace the board with Asrock (considered before as junk brand... I guess its high end nowadays)

Virtual Box do not detect vt-x although enabled in BIOS

My current PC is unable to detect the vt-x but my old pc detect the vt-x that using legacy boot. I have tried looking for the answers in blogs, facebook groups and asking people about this problem but got nothing for the solution. Here is details about my old and new PC:

Hopefully that Intel could do something to come out with solution for this kind of problem.

Installing LAN driver, getting error " Cannot install drivers. No Intel(R) Pro Adapters are present in this computer."

HI,

I am having a trouble with my PC. I not able to connect with Internet due to I accidently deleted network adapter from Windows 7, after that I formatted the system and reinstalled Window XP.  Then I installing LAN driver, getting error " Cannot install drivers. No Intel(R) Pro Adapters are present in this computer."

DZ77SL-50K "launching bios setup application" - then reboots

I have a DZ77SL-50K MB with a i7 3770K with a 129G intel SSD (SSDSC2CW120A3) and a Sapphire 7970 GPU.
The machine boots fine but I want to add get into the BIOS menu and manipulate the settings but when I hit F2, the machine reboots.
If I do not his F2, the machine boots happily into Windows (7 64).
I flashed the BIOS to the latest version but still this problem persists.

I have tried to deactivate the fast boot that it seems to have but I simply CANNOT get into the BIOS.
BTW, my objective is to run 2 of those intel SSDs in RAID 0 as the MB natively supports this...if I could get into the BIOS.
Does anyone have any ideas?
