DX79SI USB 3.0 Boot Bug

Okey here is the bug, my computer (board is DX79SI with last BIOS v0650 for to day) turned off, I plugged my Transcend TS32GJF760 USB 3.0 (with Windows 8.1 on it) into USB 3.0 port and I turned on my computer, so I see blue screen of BIOS and that is all. Computer stuck forever. My mouse and keyboard are USB 2.0 and they plugged into USB 2.0 ports not responding, mouse doesn't have red light of laser. I tried to plug Transcend into USB 2.0 port and booting was fine. So the bug is definitely in chip Renesas\NEC UPD720200 Controller OR in BIOS, so can you fix it somehow?

Second question, is why you not updating Driver for Renesas\NEC UPD720200 Controller to version 2.1.39.0 ? On the page of this board still old version 2.1.28.1

DX79SI, need bios in .bin format for direct programming of chip..

hello, i have this motherboard with 3820 cpu onboard.

the only thing i have is some blinking leds, error codes and nothing more. no video.

i am sure i have to change bios, but i can't afford to buy 3930k or similar.

i can instead easily reprogram bios chip directly, i already detached it and put on programmer, it is good, readable and dumped content on a file.

winbond 25Q64CV,

i can't extract bin file from bio, can anyone provide me the correct file, like 430 or higher?

thank you

Bios Download link not working for DG41MJ Mobo

Hi, I am trying to dowload a BIOS update for a very old Intel motherboard at

Intel® Download Center

I'm trying to download the MJG4110H.86A.0008.EB.EXE file, although this is happening with all the files on that page. If I click on the file to download it, an license agreement is displayed, when I click on the "I Accept the Terms of the license agreement" nothing happens. I can't get past it to download the file. I've tried firefox and IE, same problem. Is there an FTP site or some other way I can download the file? Thank you!

DX58SO RST RAID 5 Fantom Disk after Disk Failure

I'm running Windows 7 Pro x64 on DX58SO with Intel Rapid Storage Technology, version 12.5.0.1066, three Disk RAID 5. I had a disk, Seagate Barracuda ST3500320AS 500GB, fail and got an indication from the RST icon in the notification area. I replaced the disk and the SATA Array is currently rebuilding and about 60% complete. However, when I open the Intel Rapid Storage Technology program, I see four disks,  three show status as normal and one phantom disk, status missing, port location: unknown. It also shows the serial number of the old disk with a colon and zero added, but nothing else. I'm hoping that this phantom disk will disappear when the SATA Array finishes rebuilding, but I don't get the impression that it will. Also, on the Status tab, of the RST program, the current status indicates the system is reporting one or more events, and data may be at risk. It then indicates to refer to the details below for more information. There are two events indicated. The first is that the SATA Array 0000 is rebuilding and the second is "Unknown disk on Controller 255, Port Unknown: Missing.

Will this missing phantom disk issue resolve when the system finishes rebuilding the SATA Array after replacing the failed disk?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I am assembling a desktop. My system configuration that I have purchased is :

Motherboard: DH87MC

Processor: i5 4440

Ram:Corsair Vengeance DDR3 4GB Ram (CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9)

After assembling, (did it exactly as mentioned in the integration sheet), immediately the second I pressed the power ON switch, the processor hot LED glows with a beep sound , the processor fan  starts and stops immediately, and the system turns off. Nothing happens after that, only the power on green LED keeps glowing. I have changed the SMPS with another one from my old desktop which is OK, and the same problem appears. I am at a loss. Is there any problem with the motherboard or processor or some other problem? I have connected all the connectors as per the manual, and the connectors can't mismatch. Please help, I have got lot projects to start, need a 64 bit system immediately, just stuck up here.

DH67BL intrusion error

Hi,

I have a used DH67BL board. The previous owner already used it with this failure.

The problem: in every start, it writes an intrusion message.

What I did:

- newest bios, it was earlier

- clr cmos

- intrusion header is open (by the manual, the opened case closes it)

- intrusion header pins: grnd ok, signal 2,93 volt - seems to be ok

- in bios, in configuration, event log deleted, logging disabled, in security intrusion: disabled

- cmos battery ok

- CPU: G1620, the previous owner used it with an i3-2120

- RAM: 1x 2gb

- tried to close the intrusion header, too

But the problem is still not solved.

Any idea?

Thanks

dq87pg: ignore UEFI BootXXXX variables

$

Hello,

Intel motherboard dq87pg ignore/corrupt all UEFI BootXXXX/BootOrder variables except last one set.

So if you install Windows then Linux you've got in boot menu (F10) only Linux (grub) and if you installed Linux then Windows you've got only Windows Boot Manager by F10.

It appears to be worked well only in origin firmware ver. 0030, but in 0035,036 it was broken by ignoring UEFI variables. Also if you reflash the same motherboard (0035/0036) with both installed Win/Linux with origin 0030 firmware you've got all announced OSes in boot menu (F10) back(!). So it's just ignoring then and seen then only in ver. 0030

Version 014x corrupts previous set BootXXXX variables when you set new one. When you set new BootXXXX var via efibootmgr it's ok, but when you reboot and check it again with efibootmgr -v, you will see corrupted device path in all variables. So you've got again only one OS in boot menu (F10)

Also it's reproduces for all four motherboards in my hands

VMware ESXi 5.5 hangs on ACPI initialization on DQ67OW

Hi,

I'm using a DQ670W motherboard as a VMWare ESXi whitebox for my personal use. It works great with ESXi up to 5.1U1.

ESXi 5.5 has been released but it hangs on ACPI initialization on startup or install. Searching on google, other brands of motherboards are facing the same problem, they released a new BIOS update to make ESXi 5.5 work even if their motherboard are not officially supported by VMware.
Is Intel aware of this problem ? Will a BIOS update be released ?

I can provide technical information for investigation.

DH87MC boot problem with new monitor

$

System: DH87MC motherboard - BIOS version 0047 - Win 7 / 64bit

Just bought a new monitor DELL P2851Q connected it via DisplayPort while the Win 7 was up and running

- installed everything including newest drivers - first in parallel to my previous PnP Monitor and it seemed to work fine.

When trying to boot with the new monitor switched on (both monitors or only the new one switched on)

the system stops during some BIOS check and I get a blinking cursor.

Only when connecting my old monitor switched on and the new one switched off

I get the message "BIOS has detected unsuccessful POST attemp... ....

or recent hardware changes ... Press 'Y' to enter Setup or 'N' to cancel and

attempt to boot with previous settings.

Entering 'N' since the new monitor is switche off anyway,

I can then boot with my old monitor and only after the BIOS has handed over to Windows

then its possible to power on the new monitor.

The new monitor will then be correctly identified by Win 7.

It may be an issue of my "old" BIOS 0047.

Reading the "Release Notes.pdf" of the latest BIOS

and the FAQ pages there was no indication of any problem like this

and I don't want to go for a trial an error approach installing a new BIOS.

Could you please comment whether there is a fix for this issue?

Intel DH87RL Boot Video Resolution Issue

$

0

Recently I purchased the retail DH87RL.

Issue is that during BIOS the internal graphics is sending a signal on DVI and HDMI that is incompatible with my monitor.  Monitor (LCD, Dell, probably 5 years old), gives a message indicating there is a signal, but that either the resolution or timing is incompatible.  So the monitor is blank until Windows finishes loading and shows the loaded Windows screen.

I tried getting it to work by plugging it into my receiver (for my HDTV) and had the same issue (again receiver/HDTV are about 5 years old).

I took it into my group's lab in Jones Farm 2 and found that it displayed correct on the two monitors I tried in the lab.

I've tried looking at the product documentation and Googleing to try to find what resolution it is trying to use that isn't supported by the monitor, but I've been unsuccessful.  The monitor supports a fairly high resolution (2048x1152 @60 Hz) so I'm baffled at why there is a disconnect in what the BIOS is sending and what the monitor can support.

I'm fairly disappointed that such an essential element of the board has such an issue.  I appreciate the advancements being made in the visual BIOS, but it shouldn't come at the cost of basic functionality.

Background Details:

- I tried both DVI and HDMI ports on the Dell SP2309W monitor, without success.

- Tried receiver Onkyo TX-SR606 / TV Samsung LN46A-550, without success.

- A third party graphics card will work when plugged into the PEG slot

- Two monitors Dell & Asus worked in the JF lab

- Using the latest posted BIOS (as of 10/20/2013).  Which is RLH8710H.86A (10/3/2013)

DH87RL – BIOS 0327 does not display "BIOS Legacy" boot devices anymore [F10].

Dear Intel Team,

I have updatet the DH87RL board to BIOS version 0327, but now when pressing [F10] all "Legacy Bios" boot devices are not displayed anymore.

Instead unknown unkown is shown for every non-UEFI boot device, whereas the desktop board still boots from the first "Legacy Bios" device if [F10] is not pressed at INTEL boot prompt.

Is the Xeon x5690 compatible with DX58SO2 mainboard?

(Sorry for my bad English)

Can I use a Xeon X5690 CPU on the Intel DX58SO2 mainboard? I have installed last BIOS Version 920.

At Compatible Processors site I can only find the W3690. What are the differences W3690 vs. X5690?
