I've asked this question before and thought I fixed it, but the problem returned.
I have an Intel desktop board model # D510MO. Board number is AAE76523-404. It's running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. I can't install sound drivers on it. The Intel driver update utility doesn't produce anything. I've downloaded the correct drivers from Intel download, but they don't work. It goes through the installation process, reboots, then there's no audio device installed. I've installed the chipset driver and updated the bios. This is the page I got my instructions from: Desktop Boards — Audio Drivers Do Not Install. I've done this several times.

I finally got it. I disabled audio in the bios. Then reinstalled windows. I enabled audio in bios and installed the driver.]
This worked one time. On the next reboot, the problem was back. There's no audio device installed. I've since done it twice more the same results.
